the room was large and the bed was comfortable. Having a kitchen was a bonus as well

it was mildewy due to a lack of air (since it's on the basement)

It's not the worst place in Turkey that I have encountered. The septic/sewer system looks like it was working. Probably managed by the city. The check in process was quick. Host gave some free washing detergent and cooking pots and plates.
What was bad
There were some roaches and fleas. There were intense noise at night and heavy smoke. So much smoke that it carried in my clothes to the next hotel. It's not suitable for any child to stay in that hotel.
