We booked the hotel for 4 nights, but we left after 1 night and moved to a better hotel. Upon receiving the room, the cushions were dirty, there was a big cigarette hole in the quilt cover and the carpet was dirty.  Also the water closer cover was dirty. This was enough to make us feel uncomfortable. Although the hotel is relatively new, I believe the house keeping were not doing a good job. The room was very small and the bathroom was too tiny to even move around. The hotel was located in a very good location and the breakfast was acceptable. Also the management were kind to refund to us our unused 3 days stay after deducting 6%. This hotel could have been acceptable if it was clean. Mind you I am not a freak about cleanliness, but I couldn't accept the many dirty items in the room and bathroom

Izmir visit

First of all, the staff were nice and they helped with reservation changes. Although their communication with booking.com is not functioning properly. The location is very good. Parking is not available by the hotel; although it is stated as available on the web site. The prices are lower compared to the other hotels in the surrounding area.
They tried to renovate and design the rooms; but because they used cheap materials and probably cheap labor, most of them are not functioning properly.
Pay a little more and stay in the well known hotels, especially if you are with your family unless you are tight on the budget.

Cheap material and non-functioning equipment

Way Hotel is located in one of the best areas of Izmir that is close to the sea and full with restaurants and bars. It is a clean and rather new hotel but can not be considered more than 3 stars. The furniture is good and the mattress was comfortable. Breakfast is very much acceptable from a 3 star hotel. The shower fixture was broken and toilets are too small. Amenities are limited.  For budget travelers who would like to enjoy the night life in Izmir, I highly recommend Way Hotel. It is located next to the best 5 star hotels in Izmir.
