My husband and I have just returned from 11 nights at the Meldi. Everything about this small, family run hotel was just perfect. It has 5 stars on tripadvisor for a reason! The rooms are clean, a decent size and the air con is great. Housekeeping come daily and restock the mini fridge with various bits. Breakfast is simple but everything you would need, the lunch ‘snack’ menu is very reasonably priced and their evening menu is also good value. The pool area is well kept and very pretty.
It is a short walk into Kalkan (the hill back up a bit of a stretch in the heat but taxis are cheap and plentiful). The staff are excellent - friendly, kind and very hardworking. Special mention to Halil who is an oracle of local knowledge, and all the bar staff who work so hard! We’ll certainly be back. 

Already looking to book next year - just perfect. 

The hotel was perfect for our last few nights in Kalkan. The staff are so helpful and attentive. We were a party of 8, on our last day the hotel allowed us all to stay in our rooms until 6pm when we were due to leave. This enabled us to all enjoy our last day in Kalkan without worrying about luggage and showering. The restaurant was very good, enjoyed a fabulous meal on the roof terrace. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, it’s not a luxury hotel but the staff were fantastic and was more than comfortable for us all. Will definitely go here again when in Kalkan. 

Great small family hotel

This is a lovely hotel, the swimming pool is great, pool bar/ restaurant is very good. Food is a very high standard and drinks are a good value for money too. The rooms are nice and clean with tea and coffee facilities in them. All the staff are friendly and just nice people.

Meeting of friends.

The staff at the Meldi are extremely helpful, most speak good English and are always prepared to assist.
The rooms are basic and very clean. Each room has a small balcony and air conditioning, many rooms have a great views of the sea and town.
The bar is open all day and food can be ordered throughout the day.      
The hotel is approx 10 minutes walk from central Kalkan and 20 minutes walk to the harbour and town beach....many really good and inexpensive restaurants are also nearby as well as a large range of shops. You will not need a car as everything is within a short walk ! 
We have been visiting the Meldi for many years as have many other English families  and I cannot rate it too highly enough !
Finally, the Meldi is very well priced, additionally you only pay anything when you leave.

Great little hotel, fantastic atmosphere, lovely staff.

A lovely hotel offering honest value, great service and a good location to be based at.  Many people return each year which is reassuring in this ever changing times. During the covid years the opportunity has been taken to uplift the room furniture and generally upgrade ready for this season.  The pool offer is fantastic as is the general atmosphere from reception to departure.  Hotel prices are fair and reasonable as is the exchange rate.  As is the case everywhere in Turkey £ cash gets the best exchange rate.  Use of a card here adds 3% to cover the cost.  Don’t forget when you pay the bar bill at the end to work out the tip for the staff that you would have been paying elsewhere.  The staff work hard for your enjoyment and deserve it!

Fantastic small hotel with big honest offer

We have been going to the Meldi twice a year (June/September) since 2005. 
We have had an amazing time every time we go and have met some wonderful people, many of whom we stay in touch with and visit frequently when we are home. Most of the guests are serial offenders like ourselves who also visit twice a year. 
The staff are wonderful and always ready to help with any of our needs. They are also really good fun.... very important I feel. 
The hotel is clean and comfortable and you certainly get a 5 star welcome. 
Nothing is too much trouble. 
Our rooms are booked for the foreseeable future and we count the days until we are back again. We call this our second home and this is how it feels

The Meldi Magic

I had heard that this was a good hotel. There are much better in Kalkan. Sleep quality was poor. Wild dogs roam the streets outside of the hotel. Beds were rather hard and not comfortable. when eating our supper the hotel pet dog would jump up beside us and try to eat food off my plate. The owner and the bar staff saw this but did nothing to stop it.

The excellent staff at the Meldi give the highest standard of friendliness, welcome and service you could ever ask for in a beautiful setting. Thank you so much to Faith, Halil and all the team for going the extra mile to make our holiday special, you are special and exceptional people and the hotel is the most relaxing and welcoming place we could ever wish to stay.

So relaxing and so welcoming

Been going here now for 19 years and this hotel never fails to impress. Sahap and his team treat us all like family and nothing is too much trouble. The chef runs a brilliant kitchen producing superb, tasty and freshly cooked dishes. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. We noted that the bedrooms had been recently decorated and refurnished; the bathrooms would benefit from a refurb as they are now getting a bit tired! However, this is not enough to stop us from going again. The pool area is beautiful and the positioning of the bar and food service areas is just perfect. A truly relaxing place to stay.

It's a home from home with service added!

Just returned from a fabulous 18 days staying in Kalkan at the Meldi for the first time.

The location, room, staff, pool and breakfast were all top notch. We couldn't have had a better holiday.

We will definitely be back very soon.
