The hotel was clean and tidy,the rooms were cleaned daily,the staff were the best set of people ever friendly and they work so hard to keep it all so clean 10/10 for them, the food was very same every day chicken and fish and in the evening they just bbq it, can’t say I was Impressed with it,the alcohol was like paint stripper unless you brought a cocktail and then it was nice.But the reception staff were bordering on vile totally unhelpful rude and unprofessional I don’t think they wanted to be there,shame as it did let it all down wouldn’t go there again for sure.I would say it is out in the sticks no shops outside you have to go by taxi to buy anything went on a boat trip  and to a outlet it was brilliant,and side itself is lovely

Reception staff rude and unfriendly

Arrived around midnight and after a long day travelling it was a little disappointing there were no refreshments offered on arrival. 
Paid deposit for safe/air con and internet connection which I had previously read about.
Room was lovely! Very impressed however over the course of the holiday the foisty smell from the bathroom became annoying, perhaps a better extraction fan in bathroom would help. 
Sun bed wars haha what can I say! Good job I’m menopausal and sleep very little anyway,  as I was up around 5 for the rest of the week to secure beds for myself and my daughter. 
I felt the senior staff members ignored us to be quite honest. The waiting staff were lovely and very help, working extremely hard.
I had much admiration for the lady who cooked the omelettes, a little gem the ‘Kentia’ have in her! She worked tirelessly in the heat! 
Hmm the cocktails! I don’t drink alcohol so I’m unsure if this is why we seemed largely ignored but I did order 2 mocktails one night to be told I couldn’t pay cash! Eventually this was taken however I was told we could only have 1 each.  I requested 2 different cocktails to be asked could I not have the same ones! Quite disappointed as I’d read lovely reviews about the guy! I also refused a charge to my room as I like to keep track of my spending, but this seemed to be met with scorn. 
The food was ok, you could find something each visit however was a bit same old same old so we ate out in the old town a couple of nights! The kebabs were fantastic! 
Music was constant and a little loud however the DJ was friendly, engaging and tried very hard :) 
The harbour area is a must! Historic and beautifully maintained and I didn’t feel harassed by sales people. 
A much needed holiday was enjoyed and the hotel itself was very well maintained but in all honesty I would not return and will plan better for future trips taking reviews into account first. 
All in all I feel let down by TUI this was sold as the perfect holiday for us, the hotel ratings are over inflated and there should be more honest information regarding the airline used!

First experience of Turkey 🇹🇷

We enjoyed our week at Kentia for what we paid (£2100 for 2ad 2 ch) in August. 

-Rooms were dated, but we only used it to sleep so was fine. Air con in the room wasn't really cold enough. Told reception and they said someone will look at it on the first day, not sure if anyone did look at it. We also only had 3 towels for 4 people, this was rectified 2 days later 🙄.
Air con was only in the bedroom, we had to take the mattress from living area and put on bedroom floor each night for our 6 year old as it was way too warm in there and didn't  one of the kids to be sleeping out there on their own. We had a bedroom with 3 beds and living room with 1 single bed.

-Our room wasn't cleaned every day as there were at least 2 days where the beds weren't made. Also had to ask reception for toilet roll as it wasn't replenished on two occasions. However, friends we made said their rooms were cleaned daily and beds were made daily so maybe it was just our block (B).

-food is ok for the price, bbq food is nice that they do outside. Can be a lot queuing though and the stations that require gas burners to cook them (spaghetti/omelettes)- they only have one burner so you're waiting a while!

-Evening time slot for dinner is too short and I think they rush those that are still eating just before 9pm, one more hour would be better.

-It's important to note there isn't food freely available between restaurant meal times, only a lady making pancakes on a bake stone by the bar, and there was always a queue. If you wanted more than 1 pancake for someone else in your family, she could be rude and point to the queue speaking in Turkish, makes you feel like you're being greedy when you're only getting pancakes for your kids!   

-Drinks are OK, I did my research before we booked so I knew cocktails weren't included and that it finishes at 22.30. I was happy with drinking shorts and coke zero. Lager and wine available as well as local spirits, but no cider included if you're a cider drinker.

-dinner time you have to queue at the bar for drinks, there is no self serve wine, or soft drinks there as with other AI hotels,  so you tend to not 
be eating with everyone sitting together with both  the bar queue and show cooking queue!

-Beach is like shingle sand. Food is nice from the beach shack place but that and the sunbeds are very dated and worn, there was litter in the sand at the side of the sunbed area. We did end up paying £65 on food and drinks there. The sea was warm so it was uncomfortably hot, although on leaving for the 4pm shuttle, I noticed cold water showers which I'd wished I'd noticed earlier! 

-Hotel pool is lovely! Great size, has a shaded part, not too deep for the kids. They have a foam party once a week which is fun but also quite dangerous so you need to watch your kids like hawks! No lifeguards. You're allowed inflatables in there.

-Ancient Side town is a must visit. Not much around the hotel really, few bars and restaurants dotted about. They seem to be in little clusters all around Side, but we didn't explore too much because it was so hot even in the evenings.

-Trips with TUI at the hotel were extortionate! We booked a Turkish massage for the 4 of us for less than £40 and an all day boat trip with food and drinks for less than £80 on getyourguide.com- don't be conned into paying over the odds.

-Turkey is expensive now, maybe even more than home we found. Our last visit was 2011 so things have dramatically changed cost wise. If you're thinking of Turkey for less expense while you're there, think again! 

-Antalya airport is extortionate for anything, looking at £20+ for a fast food meal per person. Spirits same price as you can get them in UK supermarkets jusy FYI. 

-Some staff were lovely while others could be quite rude. Older lady on Reception was one of the rude ones. 

-no night entertainment as such, just a 1 man band entertaining with beer pong or dance class etc.

Overall we had a lovely week in the sun. Prob wouldn't stay here again as we like to stay in different resorts each time. I'd recommend for a budget friendly summer holiday deal though. I'd say this is a 3* and definitely not 4.

Good value for what we paid

Absolutely loved the entertainment provided by Cem, the water aerobics, water polo (we are the champions) the music by the poolside too. Loved every minute of it, we were always kept entertained. Would definitely recommend it here. Cem also plays the clarinet, very good too!
