We booked this hotel from the recommendation of a travel agent who assured us that this hotel was one of the best. It could not be further from the truth, we were very apprehensive from the start, as our transfer traveled though the Bodrum hills into a residential area, we seem to go deeper and deeper before the driver got lost. It took him a while to locate the hotel (shows how remote this was) but we eventually arrived.

Upon entering the hotel at 5am, we could smell this awful pong in the air as we checked in. After checking in the receptionist now turned porter, took me and my wife to our room. While we walked towards our room past the pool, I noticed the pool was dirty with broken tiles and over grown greenery. I said to my wife this doesn't look good. 

We arrived at the room and the porter opened the door to the craziest smell I have ever experienced. Its smelt like a sewer literally and I felt physically sick. I said to the porter, we cannot stay in this room with this smell and he said I cant move you now as the hotel is fully  booked? 

We left the door open hoping that the lesser disgusting smell outside would improve the smell inside the room but that wasn't to be. The rooms had damp patches on the walls and ceiling with mold growing, the furniture was rotting and in pieces, the TV was looked from the early 90's and finally the bathroom, what can I say.... the toilet, sinks and shower had stains which looked like they have been there for many months if not years. 

It was now 5.30am, I went to reception and explained that we could not stay in that room, but reception insisted that they had no other rooms available, but would try to move us later on that day, he advised me to get some sleep and we can sort thing out when we wake up. I went back to the room and wanted to take my contact lenses out, but I would not touch that sink to wash my hands, instead I used my solution to wash my hands/fingers before taking out my lenses. 

We didn't want to stay at this hotel anymore, I was prepared to get a taxi to another hotel and getaway from this place. I informed reception of my intentions after being here an hour, that we do not want to stay there anymore. He called his boss and then explained to me if we could bare with it for another hour, then his boss would take me to their sister hotel.

We sat in our room for an hour with the door open before grabbing our bags and making our way to reception at 7am. At reception we were advised that it would be another 30 minutes before their boss would be here to take us to the other hotel. He pointed us to the restaurant and said we can have breakfast. We walked around for 30 seconds and decided not to get any food or drink, the plates and glasses needed to be washed again as they were sticky, the food looked like it had been reused for days, we just wanted the nightmare to end.

When the boss arrived he didn't look very happy with us but he had no choice, we refused to stay here and could not understand how this hotel was full and how people could actually enjoy themselves in such an environment. 

We were transfered to their sister Hotel called Club Aqua Gumbet, which wasn't too much better but we ended up with one of the best/modern rooms at that hotel which made our weeks stay bearable. I will right a separate review for Aqua Club Gumbet. 

In summary, not worth the headache, simple, just stay away from all the Aqua Club hotels.

Please for health and safety, stay away!!

We arrived on the 13th of august 11 to find noone at reception but was only waiting about 5 mins and when someone did come he just seemed cold,there were no welcomes or nothing and never had one smile on his face.
 
We then got shown to our room by another man who was just the same no smile just plain grumpy like he hated us,walking up the hall way to our room was a big puddle of water.
 We get in to our room and have a look around to find the bathroom was in a right state,rusty,ceiling looked like it was going to cave in,water dripping from the ceiling,the worst bit was the toilet and it had white and brown stuff in side of it,it was wonky when you sat on it.even the shower was just a mess broken shower holder mouldy tiles.
 
The sheets were changed once.
 
I actually liked the food even though it was always pasta it did have other things too.
 
I hated a couple of the staff there it just felt like they were always talking about you and made you feel un easy but they are some really nice people there too,one inperticula that just did not smile once and always looked like he hated brits here and wanted to kill us but forgot to get his name.
 they only do fizzy drinks,beer,water,tea,coffee.oh and not forgetting the 10 million cats that apear out of nowhere when it food time lol just give them a boot.There was one cat that followed us every where and he had a sore face looked like it had been dragged by a car or something.
 
And the pool was green when we arrived the water vents around it some were missing or broke and a few days before we left the pool turned bloody brown! full of sewage but it quickly got cleaned and went blue,a better colour then when we arrived.
 
please do not go through reps to book activities either,they charge double that is the mistake we made,that was the worst part about the holiday for me out of everything.

DO NOT go to this hotel. There is no food on the all inclusive and the only drinks they served was red or white wine. The pool was contaminated and could not be used. Human waste bubbled up through the toilet, the shower was hanging off the wall and water poured through the air con.  On Monday 5th of August 2011 the hotel inspector came in and shut the hotel down. Everyone was transfered to other accomodation. This was a holiday from hell. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AND THE SISTER HOTEL IN GUMBET WHICH WAS NOT MUCH BETTER.

where do i begin??? i"ve been back for a week now and i"m still horrified. i"ve read the other reviews and they speak of the green pool, well it went brown/black. that hotel needs shutting down, no burning down! i tried daily to get us moved but no joy. the food? well the smell, the lack of it meant my meals were eaten out. that was my 3rd trip to turkey and have never in my life seen such a poor quality of hotel  l!!!!!! words can not describe just how bad this hotel is. as for the cats- i am a cat lover and found the one which was known as scar face because half his face had been bitten off very upsetting. my mother felt so sorry for the poor thing she got some meat ( only god knows what type of meat) and gave it to him, well my friends, scar face had one paw in the grave i"ve seen bigger mice. however even he wouldn"t eat it!!!! if you"ve booked to go there change now. if your foolish enoughto go do feed scar face. he"s a survivour and i reckon will live on ha ha ha . helen, knutsford.

After 8 days the full story has Unfolded 
The pool is fish Pond green and not been cleaned for 3 days,about the same time the wine rAn out and vodka is sporadic
The room stoPped being cleaned and the towels are all a bit bloodied and brown 
Beds are unmaid and the food has taken a turn for the worse
Overall you need to be non expectant of English standards but ok for less
