Although slightly out of the way, this was a great experience. The hillside view of the castle, especially at night, is beautiful. You can also see the remains of St. John's basilica. The rooms are clean, the beds a little firm but comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and filling. The hospitality of the owner was wonderful. He was very helpful and made sure our stay was a pleasant one. It did not take long at all to get to the sites around the area. Also a close drive to Kusadasi for a fish dinner. It is in a residential area so you can hear the neighbors but it wasn't a problem. I would definitely recommend staying there if you're looking for comfort, simplicity, and a beautiful view.

Ephaseus trip

I planned to stay 2 nights and ended up staying almost 2 weeks in Selçuk. The reason has definitly to do with the hospitality, friends and beauty I found in that guesthouse. It became a very special place for me (and I am travelling half my  life).
All typical indicators, like breakfast, equipment, cleanliness, atmosphere, hosts, location and security are excellent.

Beyond standardized indicators!

Took a two day trip to see Ephasus from Kalkan
So booked the hillside hotel .
What a hidden  gem.
The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms/beds especially were very comfortable and well  equipped  and spotless.( some top hotels could take a lesson from this hotel )Took a little finding but well worth it..Parking outside.
The view is amazing. Breakfast was lovely simple  fresh and more than adequate.
It was a 10 min wander down into town for great food and a lovely but relaxed buzz. It's on a steep hill so a taxi home is 15TL / 2£. Ephaseus was a 3TL bus away or again a cheap taxi. The castle is well worth a visit and again 16 min walk from hotel .
Finally the price is fantastic. Worked out 25£ a room/night with breakfad included. 
I definitely recommend it.


Trip to Ephaseus

My family & I stayed with Abdullah for 2 nights in early September. We arrived very late at night tired & hungry. Abdullah helped us order food and made sure we had everything we needed. The next morning he put together the best breakfast I have had in Turkey. Bread, eggs, lots of fruit & the usual olives & cheese.
The view from his hotel is amazing & Abdullah is a great host. You can't go wrong staying here

Perfect

Abdullah has set up a home from home. Ephesus Hillside is the perfect  place from which to explore the city and ancient sites. The view from the deck is incredible, especially at sunset. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the delicious breakfast a great way to start your day of exploring.

cok temiz, super manzara. Isletmeci Apo Bey’e tesekkurler. Very clean and neat, super view. Thanks to MrApo for the great hospitality.Great place to stay. Very close to Ephesus and Virgin Mary. Breakfast is awesome compare to many five star (!) hotels

Ephesus Hillside is a family run pension with an amazing view of the Selcuk castle and sunset. The rooms were perfect - super clean and spacious, with a lovely seating area for breakfast. Apo was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Highly recommend.
