We were here for tea the other day and for lunch today. It’s own by nice young very hospitable family. During lunch time all tables are in shadows of trees, everything around decorated with colourful stuff. It was excellent authentic Turkish food experience. Thank you, guys! You’re great!

Very hospitable and delicious place!

Don’t miss the opportunity of this quirky and beautiful garden restaurant.  We visited three times, the food is authentic spicy and delicious, hosted by two kind caring and genuine owners.

Next time we will visit in the evening too, thank you, good luck and hopefully see you in October.

A taste of Turkey not to be missed !

This is a delightful traditional family run Turkish hotel right in the heart of old Side, a stone's throw from the harbour, beaches and ruins. Sevket and Hatice, the owners, go out of their way to ensure a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

If you are tired of bland 'same as, same as' all-inclusive package holidays and want a taste of authentic Turkish style & hospitality then look no further. It's certainly not luxury, but is a rare treat that cannot fail to delight the discerning traveller looking for a characterful retreat tucked away in the very centre of the action!

The Real Turkish Delight

My wife and I had a fantastic two-day stay in Antonio's Motel. The service was perfect, the breakfast was outstanding, and the rooms are cozy and have a lot of personality. The room even had a small terrace with a great view of the ocean and palm trees. Highly recommended!

Cozy and central place in Side

I was attracted to Antonios Motel because of the location and its lovely setting. We arrived at 01.00, and Sevket was waiting for us and another couple to arrive. The pine clad room was not large but was adequate for our needs. The only downside was that the walls were paper thin. The tiny bathroom was spotless, even though it was showing signs of age. Sevket and Hatice work extremely hard, keeping the place neat and tidy. Breakfast included the usual eggs meat olives bread and salad, but there was always a few extra dishes; borek, water melon and yogurt, and sometimes leftovers from the previous nights meal, e.g. chicken fish vegetables. We ate an evening meal A couple of times at the hotel - all cooked by Sevket. These meals were very traditional Turkish and were very tasty. The majority of guests were German, and after a few nights, we were enjoying their company.
Hatice was always smiling as she worked, whether it was cleaning the rooms or keeping the gardens tidy. The dog Johnny was everybody's friend! The garden was full of delightful curios, and had lovely sitting areas in the shade - or in the case of my partner - somewhere else to sleep! All in all, it was a lovely stay,

Delightful quirky garden

I believe in being honest so I will tell it how I saw it. The couple Sevket & Hatice who run this motel are very polite and they are lovely. We arrived early hours of the morning and Sevket was there to great us and show us to our room on the ground floor. The room is very basic no frills with double and a single bed, small wardrobe and bedside cabinet, small dressing table. The walls and ceiling are pine clad. Bathroom is tiny and shower very very small. We had to tie the shower head to the wonky bracket on the wall to make it easier to use. The water pressure is poor so task was a bit of a chore.The air con comes at no extra charge but is noisy, the room can be dark except when the sun rises and streams through the glass panels in the door and there is no door curtain, so if this bothers you take a sleep mask. Also walls are very thin so not much privacy.Power sometimes goes off and sockets for chargers are fiddly. Cleaning and towels, every other day.There was a very small terrace outside the door which leads to the courtyard garden and eating area. The garden reminded me of my Grandparents garden, an eclectic mix of recycled things that post war people used to try and create an outdoor space. Charming in a rustic way with lots of trees and shrubs and climbers, seating areas with cushions and turkish rugs, arts and crafts sort of decor, reclaimed antiquities in the shape of stone and marble columns a hotpotch of many things, buildings included. In the evening the smell of jasmine drifts through the garden. Breakfast is the buffet style collection of hard boiled eggs, olives, bread, cheese, slices of pink meat, fruit, pastries and sometimes chicken nuggets or potatoe croquetts but the butter is the waxy substance floating in water and I would not recommend it. Coffee is luke warn and awful, there is a carton of fruit juice for pouring yourself a glass or two. Guest were mainly quite lively Germans and Dutch who sat out late enjoying themselves with the owners. You should also be prepared for the family dog Johnnie, the cats which wander in the garden, which he chases off, the birds which live in the trees and chatter a lot and the many butterflies and insects sharing the garden. The last day we had a very late flight and had to be out by 12 am but there was no room for us to use to get changed, so be prepared that this could happen if your flight is a late one . We spent most of the day in the garden and Sevket brought us slices of pizza and Turkish tea on the house. All in all not ideal if you are a bit reclusive and want to escape from the crowds, you should be prepared to mingle with other guests as they are in close proximity. Remember you get what you pay for. Outside the top entrance is a car park which leads to taxi rank and bottom gate leads into old town with shops and bars very central.

Budget Stay Lovely Owners

This place is a real gem if you want to stay in touristy Side old town. The place is comfortable, surprisingly quiet, based around a shady courtyard. It is very good value, but, best of all, it is run by the nicest young couple you could meet.
