On the day of our arrival we were told that the quote we had been sent and the invoice we had already paid was USD 950 too low. Anyone can make mistakes, but we did not feel that the local management handled it professionally and timely.

Compared to other places, the revised price makes the place not good value for money. 

Breakfast was standard, dinner a buffet. 

Setting is very beautiful and away from any noice. 

Unprofessionally managed 

We spent a perfect night at the Rock Resort. The staff was very friendly and very obliging. Our room had an amazing view and the beds were the most comfortable in Uganda. We enjoyed a very delicious dinner at the lakeside. We would definitely recommend to stay there.  

Wonderful stay

Kenneth (Manager) was a superb host and his team were very professional and kind. The lake provides a lovely atmosphere and the food was truly delicious. While the road is long and bumpy to get there, it is worth the extra distance to experience this lovely lodge.

Professional and Warm Staff

Having read the reviews we were looking forward to our stay. The drive around the lake to get to there  is challenging but we are getting used to Ugandan roads. 
We received a nice welcome and our room was lovely, with a view over the beautiful lake. The bed was large and comfortable. And there was hot water.  

We were offered food as we had missed lunch … we ordered soup and a drink. The service was very slow… the food was ok. We were also asked to order dinner and given a choice of 2 items for starters snd 2 for mains & 1 desert. With no mention of prices. There was no mention of a menu we could look at. It was only when people near us had different food we realised there was a choice   
We didn’t realise that there was not anywhere to easily walk around the lake - it’s quiet a steep climb from the shore line - so only place to walk or cycle is the road / track.
They offered tubing but it seemed very expensive, fishing but it was cray fishing with nets. A boat trip around the lake & islands looked nice but again very expensive.
The hotel has a run down  feeling - all the glass on the tables was cracked & broken. We have been in Uganda for 3 weeks, so know what to expect. 
The food was very disappointing.  And the wine expensive. We had mustard chicken with potatoes. The chicken was cold and looked pink, so we had to send it bank. 
The restaurant area has a TV and  we did manage to watch premiership football match live. 
The breakfast was fairly awful. And again expensive - with every item charged for individually. We asked for avocado & egg - but no avocado available. And we had to say the night before what time we wanted it ! Coffee, fruit and boiled egg - hardly takes a little of cooking!! 
We would like to thank the hotel for being understanding and accommodating - I had booked the wrong date by mistake and they sorted that out no problem. And when we left after one night when we had booked two, they only charged us for one.

Disappointing experience, wouldn’t go back

We had such an amazing time in Lake Bunyonyi Lake Resort. The staff are so friendly, helpful and make you feel very welcome and comfortable. Not to mention the gorgeous views from the room. Definitely a recommended stay.

Beautiful location and friendly staff

Beautiful Hotel in a great location. Service superb. We were there only one night but had a lovely time and wished we were there longer.Large Rooms ,comfortable beds and plenty of activities.We just wanted to relax and could do that with the comfortable outdoor furniture on the patios outside each room.

Great Hotel for Activities or relaxing

We stayed two nights at the end of an active trip and would recommend as a relaxing end to a holiday. The location is fab, good food and staff. The swimming was great, as was watching the otters. The trip to some of the island was informative with stunning views and amazing bird life.

All I can say is beautiful place with a tranquilizer feel

If your just seeking for a crowd free environment out of noise and crowd of other hotels then this is the place to be
The road it’s self is an adventure of its own, beautiful sunset view and rooms

The biggest bed ever and with beautiful rooms, the hot showers and toilets works perfectly 

I loved the great work of Kenneth and Rebecca who are always waiting to serve you right

The owner is a calm person and is always ready to help

He offered us a boat ride to connect to our stop over point

I can’t thank them enough for the great hospitality and customer care

We were well looked after 

You can swim if you wish 

The dishes were top notch and rooms are the best with great views

A hidden paradise at Lake Bunyonyi - you holiday escape

We stayed 3 nights in december 2022 on one of the floating rooms by the lake. amazing lake view, very cozy room, the staff was very helpful, the food was great and excursions were great. Great value for money I highly recommend it.

The floating rooms have no socket, take a power bank if you book one of them

Amazing Lake view, great staff, good food, good value for money

We only stayed here for one night on our return to Entebbe after doing a gorilla trek but it was such a stunning location. The rooms overlook the gorgeous lake, we had a spacious balcony and, as previous reviews state, the staff is incredible. Kenneth gave us a warm welcome but everyone made the special effort to help us enjoy our stay. I'd love to return.
