Hi everyone I stayed here from the 6th to 9th of February 2024 and it was total chaos!
Avoid this place like the plague!
Upon arrival, I paid the full amount for my accommodation and later they started demanding for more money and harassed me thoroughly.
When I realized that they are a bunch of fraudsters and requested my money back to leave they refused and harassed me some more!
Thereafter they claimed they have handed me over to Eika suites and this new team continued with harassing me to pay more money despite the money I had already paid!
There is a cartel of thieves in this place whose sole mission is to extort people and the owners need to be made aware of this!
Please good people… Kampala suites/ eika suites need to be stopped!

Extremely bad!

I had the privilege of staying at Kampala Suites for 2 months during my December-January vacation. During a time filled with political campaigns, covid and and end of year festivities including Christmas. I had to think a lot whether it was right to traveling as everyone canceled their trips but then it turned out to be the best decision I made. 

The staff at the Suites were very welcome. I was ushered in close to midnight and next morning the gentleman came to guide me through some of the amenities. 

I enjoyed the full house support where my laundry and dishes were all done for me. I felt like a prince of a sort. 

The serene environment with green in my background was also incredibly great yet just stepping down to the base floor got me to Acacia Mall and all the great places.

I recommend Kampala Suites strongly at any time of the year.

Excellent Place to stay in the heart of Kampala

I recently rented four rooms at Kampala Suites while passing through Kampala. It was a DISASTER. My wife and I shared a two bedroom apartment with another couple. The lights did not work in our bathroom. After waiting for an hour the attendant came, looked at it and said they would have to repair it the next day. I asked for a fan since it was very hot in the bedroom. He said he would be back in about 5 minutes. I never saw him again. Took a shower by flashlight. Discovered the next morning that all of our four rooms had some problem that wasn’t resolved. One couple had no towels. After requesting towels and waiting longer than an hour, they went to find help. They found the attendant asleep on a bench!  The final straw was the noise. There is a night club in same development that played EXTREMELY loud music all night. My wife used noise canceling headphones to sleep. No one else in our group got any sleep. At 4:00 am I looked out the window. The club was completely dark but the music was still blaring. It finally shut off about 5:30 am. DO NOT waste a night of your life at this joke of a hotel. 

Look Elsewhere

I stayed in a one self contained bedroom and sitting room.I needed a quiet and safe safe place and I got that right here.
Great stay I had.Nice place right in the heart of Kampala.Friendly staff and good prices too.

Mr.Ejiet

No balcony with view as sold. Was told all other units are fully booked. No ceiling fans as described, very hot as unit is on top floor under the terrace. None of the units have ceiling fans. After much pushing a unit on the lower floor became available. One small pedestal fan was brought. No stove top or cooking utensils. After much pushing one small electric hot plate was provided, 2 pots borrowed from neighbour and frying pan the next day. No spoon or spatula, cutting board. 2 plates available, both don't fit microwave. 2 tea mugs available, one saucer, one bowl, borrowed glass from other apartment.  Electric kettle with old tea or coffee  inside. No washing machine or ironing facilities available in building. Clothes taken for washing on second day not returned on next day, also service not available daily. Wet clothes returned to be dried on the furniture,, after 2 days. Cable channels subscribed to after demanding. None available for check in, even on phone, though timing was agreed upon in advance. Had to wait for long time after talking to building security. Good location in daytime, but very noisy at night. Roaches in the kitchen drawers and about at night. Drinking water provided after asking, but not daily. Tea bags, sugar, toilet paper and soap cake available. Pair of rubber slippers borrowed from another apartment. The door lock needs replacing. Tried different keys, problem is with the lock, and it doesn't look like it's going to be replaced.

Dishonest - Running a very good property into the ground.

The Good:
The staff was amazing—I worked with Eric and he was great, he should be promoted to manager. The location was INCREDIBLE—the Acacia Mall, Que Pasa (Mexican Restaurant), The Bistro (#4 restaurant in Kampala on Trip Advisor), Pizza Hut, KFC, Meza (Lebanese shawarma Restaurant), Endiro Coffee, Funz Video store, Century Cinemas, nail salon (my wife said it was the best manicure/pedicure she has ever had in the world) and more are all in walking distance. The price was hard to beat for the location, we paid $126 for two nights. There was a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, and sink which all came in handy especially with ShopRite within walking distance. The parking is really convenient as it is in its own parking lot. When you are parking there are designated parking for Kampala Suites which is right in front of Crane Plaza. There are signs that management can move so you can park and then they will put the sign behind your car. The tv was great and has GoTV channels—you can also plug in your external hard drive with movies via the USB port and watch movies! My wife and I are definitely going back to The Kampala Suites but will have to bring some things to make it a little more comfortable (see below) 

The Bad:
When I got there they had me down with the wrong room, I wanted a 2 bedroom apartment and they only had a one bedroom for me, my wife, and sister-in-law. They eventually had to make someone shift to a one bedroom to make it work (which I felt bad about). So we had to wait about an hour for the room to be ready for us to go in. The manager knew of this but never communicated to Eric in the office—the manager also didn’t communicate to Eric about a request that was approved for late checkout. Eric came through as always—WELL DONE ERIC! The room is pretty clean for having to clean it quickly as we were waiting—the only problem was the shower curtain and shower had some pretty bad stains. The sheets also were badly stained but that is from rust on metal buttons on the duvet, which I suggest the management replaces or gets a new design for the sheets as they seem dirty even though they are not because of the rust stains. Since there are so many restaurants and bars near the Suites some of them play VERY LOUD music until wee hours in the morning. Friday night the music stopped at 3am and Saturday night it stopped at 5am. The rooms are not sound proof so you can also hear everything outside (cars, neighbors, alarms, music, etc). Eric who I spoke about early said they are planning so soundproof the rooms—if they do that it will be a MAJOR upgrade! Things I would bring to make it more comfortable: indoor shoes to wear around the Suites, shower shoes, ear plugs or noise canceling headphones (unless the property sound proofs the rooms), and bed sheets (unless the property gets new ones). 


BEST location, okay place!

the location is good, surrounded by shopping places and restaurants. there are many hangout places around Kisementi area.  The rooms and amenities are luxurious.  The hospitality is super.  However, there is need to put kettles in all the rooms.

My Experience

Firstly and overall I enjoyed my stay here in terms of the apartment centrally located weird that it is above a Shopping Centre. Apartment was a decent size with fan excellent Wi-Fi and everything self catering that you need. 

Downside- on check in I wanted to pay by card the lady insisted I should go to the cash point and withdraw the money. I said no and that on the wall was "we accept visa etc" she then took the PDQ from the cupboard and switched it on advising it always loses charge!! 

On the second day of my trip I didn't need housekeeping however that was the last I saw of them no replenishment of soap.  Towel or toilet paper.

The noise at night is unbearable from the music so I invested in silicone earplugs from the local pharmacy at 30,000ugx the music goes on till 6/7am so you will need them. 

The bedroom gets so hot the fan is useless.

All in all I enjoyed my stay but I don't think I would stay here again with all the negatives which is a shame as the apartment itself is actually pretty nice 

Very good apartment but ensure you bring earplugs,  toilet paper and your own cleaner
