I've been here with a group of friends for two nights (breakfast included) and one dinner. Everything has been perfect, it's clean and food is very good and well prepared. Romms are little but confortable. it has been a good chioce!

A lovely place where to stay

My wife and I stayed at the Mucha Bistro and Guesthouse as a base for tracking Gorillas and Golden Monkeys in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Having arrived earlier than planned (as we were most fortunate to fly from Entebbe to Kisoro), we were welcomed by Patra, the host, who swiftly showed us to our room. 
All the rooms are away from the main road, facing a quiet courtyard out the back of the property. The room was bright and clean and contained all we required for a most agreeable 3 night stay. A comfortable bed complete with blankets (ideal as the nights can be cool), with an effective double mosquito net in place, meant we slept well in preparation for our daily treks into the national park. 
As we had to leave early in the mornings to reach the park, Patra was most happy to arrange early breakfasts that set us up very well on each day! Fruit, scrambled eggs and tea was our choice and it was perfect! As the park is about an hours drive away (along VERY bumpy roads) she even arranged transport to and from the entrance/Trail head HQ with a local contact (whose name was Ambrose and who is worthy of a whole new very postive review on his own!) which assisted us enormously. 
Following our very successful treks (yes we saw the Gorillas and the Golden Monkeys - plus Buffalo, Bushbuck, Hyrax and Ruwenzori 3 horned Chameleons! :)) it was perfect to sit outside the front of the Mucha at a covered table and watch the world go by as we looked back over our adventures. Patra can arrange evening dining or just an afternoon snack if required and we enjoyed omelettes and pots of tea (and the odd beer!), while watching yellow billed storks, black headed herons and white naped ravens roosting in the central town park trees across the road. 
It can rain quite a bit in this mountainous corner of Uganda and it was perfect to relax under a hot shower after a damp descent down the mountains following the treks. When we told Patra that we were looking to take a local bus on to the next stage of our journey she made phone calls to assess the best service. All in all a perfectly located comfortable accommodation run by an incredibly helpful lady. Many thanks Patra, we hope to be back in the future!

The perfect place to prepare for and celebrate after Gorillas and Golden Monkeys!

Our family was traveling from Jinja to Rwanda and wanted to stay overnight close by before crossing the border the next day.  Mucha bistro and guesthouse was a great choice.  The rooms were very clean.  They are also very small but worked just fine for a stop over!  The dinner and breakfast also was good!

Patra is the person  to be in touch with at the guest house.  She is quite friendly and welcoming.  She cooks lovely food and for sure you must try her home baked bread,  I am feeling sad leaving g this place,  but soon returning back here. 

Amazing 

We stayed in the town branch of Mucha and our room (14) was lacking vital basics. The plumbing was terrible and linens were too small for the bed. For the price 70k excl breakfast I'd expect better. Another tip is to fix the curtains, they currently do not cover the windows. The other rooms might be okay but this experience doesn't invite to come back, there are better hotels in town.
