Hostel FENOMEN

The hostel is close to the center, the staff is nice, the kitchen has everything you need, a room for two with a shower, it's cheaper than other hostels in the common room, the price/quality ratio is perfect.

It's colorful, budget-friendly and convenient.

The hostel is located on the first floor of the multi-storey block house. Panorama of okoet is not present, but the park of the city lake is nearby - 200 m.Interior design with elements of national avant-garde style.

The main thing is that the photos on the site do not answer the truth at all. From the memorable: 1. dirt. looking around, you can see neighbors of the inhuman race, with strokes. 2. walk, fungus. so how many placards of places on the ceilings and walls. so I can't say exactly about the scale. clearly saw only a small piece on the floor. if you take the worst assumptions into account, then sadness. 3. Beauty. administrator work not around the clock. and if the guest needs help? or someone wants to share? one night I was helping the residents, because of the warriors nobody.

Well, there weren't any more options. It's weird that they're rated high.

The hostel is located near the city centre and is extremely popular with both domestic and foreign tourists. The rooms are clean and very cozy, but especially I would like to note the atmosphere: the staff is excellent and will respond to any requests of the guests.

Rock and roll

It's a good hostel, a responsive staff, near the center, clubs, bars, a penny's living room, late arrival, booking time, waiting, settling, telling, and going around the house, there were three guests, one came to me in the morning, the other was gone, he moved out.

The phenomenon

I had a second opinion... imagine that teenagers rent an apartment and so many places that they decided to make it a hostel. I'll just write something that surprised me and never met in hostels before: - shoes to take off at the entrance; - bed to make yourself; - administrators are not in the hostel 24 hours a day; - when I woke up, there was no one at all:) well, when I left, I left the keys just on the table because there was no one to give them to.

The best benefit is cheap price - 110 uah for person. But hostel inside looks like quite old. And we had a little problems to find it. But generally it was ok. Quite and pleasant staff. A very few guests 
You have to spend 10-15 minutes walking to get to the city center.

Nice and cheap

The best part were the people, hosts and few other guests. The hostel is a 15 minutes walk from the center, but really close to a lake/park. The only problem was that there is not always someone at the reception and not everyone got a key.

I wanted to stay 1-2 nights, but ended up to stay for almost a week

I had my business in Precarpathian region - Ivano-Frankivska oblast for several years. For the first time i stayed in hotels, but some locals proposed me this wondeful hostel - Fenomen. I came there with my girlfriend, so we were offered with a cool private room. They had two privates - one for twice, and another for 4 :-) Also all needs - wifi, laundry, two baths, computers, lots of ethnical ukrainian goods and musical instruments. And the hostel is not far from downtown - we walked by foot to central square for 7 minutes. The locals are very polite and friendly - my advice for all - visit Fenomen for sure!

Wonderful place!

I came through Ivanofrankisk twice.  Honesty it is a bit hard to find this place and also a bit away from the center of the city, but that's ok.  I did not find the city that spectacular but it is a good stop over before heading off into the mountains.  The staff is great. The accommodations are everything one needs (good beds!) clean. If the place is full (which it never was) you might need to shower at another time than 9-10am not a big deal. 
Albina was one of the staff that was very helpful.  I needed to catch a cab to the train station she helped my get one, realizing I was going to be late, she road with me, the traffic was heavy and I missed my train.  Albina helped me get another ticket and another train.  Really way beyond helpful- so kind! I will never forget that;) Her English may not be that great, but she more than makes up for this with her kindness and hospitality. 
Also right next door (yes really) is a full spa with legit massage and health treatments.  I missed the times the missus was in, but next time $16.50usd for an hour and half massage!!! dang! and the woman there looked like she'd hurt me;) probably not a wimpy massage.  I'm an athlete and good massage is a good thing for the tired traveler. Later I went to Bukovel where they had plenty of massage at USA prices.  Bukovel was nice, but it's like Ukraine's Aspen.
If your taking a cab (#1 be careful they love to rip off tourists) ask him to take you to the Aquamarin spa the hostel is right around the corner on the south side, other wise the driver might not know this hostel.  If your weary from a train ride, a cab should be 23-25rph no more! Or if you google map it, take a bus and then walk a small bit.  It's a nice place run by nice people.
