Located in the very heart of the city, Design is really authentic and worth seeing (especially such design will love woman). Breakfast is super good since located just downstairs in popular restaurant Italian Edition 2.

Authentic and nice

This hotel is not easy to find, but it is in the centre of town, off Sumska St, through an old courtyard. The Italianskaya Redaktsiya No 2 restaurant is in the basement where you get breakfast.
The hotel is quirky but personalised in style, no lift. The rooms are large and comfortable with excellent bathrooms.
This is one of the most comfortable and relaxed hotels we have stayed in. A definite recommendation, especially if you wish to avoid the less appealing eastern european style hotels or the rather boring utilitarian big chains.
The only downside is the breakfast, which is of good quality but served to you. No buffet, which means it takes ages to get your breakfast and there is limited opportunity to get re-fills.

Extremely comfortable

This hotel is really the best place to stay in Kharkiv. Rooms and interior are very cool, staff is friendly and helpful. They serve breakfast in the restaurant nearby and you need to go out but it is not a problem. Breakfast is very good with fresh orange juice and good choice of dishes. Very and very cool. Love i!

Love this hotel!

I was taken there by an extremely nice young Lady Kate an IT specialist who had used the hotel for her Company. What a wonderful choice it turned out to be. If you know Kate let her know her help was so much appreciated .

Amazing City Location secretly tucked away

We stayed here for nearly two weeks at room 16. Very beautiful hotel, nice little decorations and a style of its own. Airport transfer was good, not that expensive and on time. 

Friendly staff and security man, who helped us a lot during our stay when our keycard did not work (we had to replace our cards almost every 3-4 days - 4 times total) which was annoying when you walked up to the last floor just to walk back down - keep in mind that there's no elevator, could be a problem for people who need some accessibility.

Also we did have problems with the wifi-connection right at our room. If we walked down, connection would establish. There might be something wrong with the router on our floor.

The room and bathroom were very clean at arrival and cleaned up every day, well done! Minibar offers large selection of snacks and drinks (extra costs). Breakfast is good, not a very large selection - local, not international. Regular coffee and juice included. Except ordering a second Americano is being charged, which sounds unusual for just some hot water in an espresso. 

Anyway, during our breakfast, we mostly discovered that our room was fully cleaned up when we got back. That's a good service there. Room was decorated very nicely. It did feel like home. Hotel located right in the center and everything is easy to reach by foot or metro. Beautiful large parks are very close.

In overall it's a very good, worthy hotel for a short stay. Would come back.


Exceptional hotel, unique of its own.

Perfect place to stay in Kharkiv! The hotel is clean and comfortable. Stuff very friendly and helpful. Hotel room was cosy and a lot of interesting decor elements. Hearty breakfast. This hotel is located in the city center and you can see all the sights of the city

Hotel 19 is Amazing especially in chrismas time.. They are so helpfull and know very well english because generally ukranian people dont know english... Mustach bar into hotel is the 1 of the bests in kharkow

Amazing especially in chrismas time

I am currently staying at the hotel, working on reviews in my room.  I personally love the hotel.  It is in the city center, easy to walk anywhere you need to go.  

The staff is very friendly, they all greet me with my odd comings and goings.  The breakfast is excellent, wide variety, and tasty.  I have never been rushed off of my table, the servers allow me to sit and enjoy.  The past night one server gave me exceptional service.  I did not catch her name, but her long red hair is a standout, and she speaks very good English.  She kept popping by to see if I was ok and if I needed anything.  I find the servers in the restaurant to be very prompt and very friendly.  Several speak English or do their best and I have no issue with communication.  I have eaten there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I have not had a bad meal.

As for one person complaining about the mini bar, it clearly shows the prices.  You take it out, you pay for it, you cannot miss the sign.  I ate some M&M's, I know I will pay when I leave, not a big deal.  

The room is immaculate every time it is cleaned in the morning.  No there is no elevator, ask in advance for a room on the ground floor if needed.

The bed is very nice, I have a room overlooking the patio restaurant and yes it is noisy until it closes.  I do not mind because I can sleep through anything.  The room size is perfect.  I do not require a large room or large bathroom.  Assuming I come back to Kharkiv I would stay here again.

room is cozy and clean. front desk staff are very nice. but very poor service at the breakfast, an older lady staff was very unfriendly that i can only give it one star. kicked me out of the restaurant cos i already had my breakfast while i was accompanied my friend.

We stayed Five days at this hotel, The breakfast was fine the room abilities are average, But the service quality for hotel part is low and the staff are not presenting  their best and receptionists tried to get extra amount for the minibar. 

There were no sign about electronic cigarette smoking in the room, We tried for once, The reception tried to punish us for a big amount. 

Anyway we are never planning to stay once more at at this hotel
