I elected to stay at this particular hostel as it advertised friendly staff and a free continental breakfast. I experienced neither. As I arrived at 9.00am I assumed the girl who greeted me was coming to the end of the night shift, therefore I was willing to overlook her visible tiredness and her incomplete introduction to the hostel. There was no evidence of any breakfast either. After I had settled in I encountered my WORST nightmare when I travel...children. The noise they were making was horrendous, especially as I was trying to rest after having travelled through the night to get there. After surfacing from my broken nap I asked a different girl on the desk for a map of the town which she found, however was too pre-occupied with playing on her phone to actually orientate me until I actually had to ask. Finally, I asked if there was anywhere good to have lunch nearby to which I received a blank look and 'I don't know'. I didn't even bother to ask her where the main places of interest lay. I found a cheap Ukrainian buffet place literally across the park. I could comment on the state of the shower and smell in the dorm but I won't for fear of making this review sound too unbelievable. I am deeply regretting not choosing the other place I was debating over, a shorter walk from the bus station which was cheaper. Oh, and to cap it all off I was robbed. Kind of a blessing in disguise, as it gave me the excuse I needed to leave early. Whilst I appreciate this was unfortunate, the girl I reported it to didn't seem overly concerned, though to her credit she did refund the two nights I was due to stay. Overall, don't stay at Lviv Hostel.

Dreadful...no other way to describe it

Hostel is good and recommendable. Good location, clean and pleasant. Staffs are very friendly and helpful (thanks for your poker lessons). I would recommend if you're traveling with a group of friends.

Good hostel for little money

Very helpful people. The hostel is a 5 Min walk to the city center adjacent to a very beautiful Park. The rooms, toilets and washrooms are clean and well furnished as shown in the images. It was my 2nd hostel stay and was very comfortable.
