Saying that about a Ukrainian hotel that's priced reasonably means a lot. If the furnishings weren't distinctly Eastern European, I'd suspect I was back in the states. They had a large, clean bathroom with shower. The beds were small twins, but with fresh linen. The fridge was almost full size. The TV was a conventional CRT, but on a swivel stand with 50 channels. Wireless internet was fast, free and easy to connect to. They offer breakfast but there's smoking in the breakfast area so we opted to for the less expensive option to go to the basement to the spacious, clean cafe/bar with a variety of options. The staff was amazingly helpful and helped print my boarding pass for me. I paid for my bill via VISA, but my CC hit me with a 3.5% currency exchange fee. The service was top notch. About 15 minutes walk away, there's access to the local electrified tram and 25 minutes walk to the main shopping center and big-box grocery store. The front desk called for a radio taxi at a reasonable price to take us to the airport. Only negative is that this hotel is on the outskirts of town, so not much to do outside of the hotel directly. The walk+tram to the city is a good 40 minutes to an hour.
