We spent a lovely weekend here again and were really welcomed back as friends. Extremely comfortable and clean accommodation and nice breakfast. Thank you Martin. It was lovely to see you and we will be back.

Maggie and Martin were both lovely and very hospitable throughout our stay. Our room was a perfect size for us and as we were staying in the downstairs double we had our own bathroom too (with a truly excellent shower, I might add). 
Breakfast was continental, and we made sure we got plenty of it before heading out into Cambridge every day.
Both hosts were chatty and personable, and happy to help with directions and recommendations. It's truly British hospitality and we felt like we were in a home away from home.
If I had to complain about something (it's what we Brits do best after all) it would be that the bed was too hard for us. It is an orthopedic mattress so I don't doubt its quality, but I did not get much sleep during my stay because of it. I didn't complain at the time because this is a personal preference thing, and I don't see what could have been done about it. But it's always helpful to know what the bed is like if you have trouble sleeping like me! 
Also, my husband is allergic to cats and we didn't see anything on booking.com about a cat living here. Luckily he had allergy pills with him and the cat doesn't go in the bedroom or bathroom anyway so all was well. But I can imagine if it was someone with a more severe allergy this may still be a problem.
These 2 small points do not however detract from what was overall a very pleasant stay with 2 lovely people. I would highly recommend Artist House Cambridge to all.

Like staying with friends

We received a very warm welcome from Maggie and Martin. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them to help with directions and events and in making our stay enjoyable. The room was lovely. Very clean and comfortable with a welcoming variety of teas and coffee in our room. Breakfast was a continental one with a selection of cereals, preserves and fresh crispy bread. Juice and toast was also on offer. We were sad to leave today as we felt we were leaving friends. We will be back. Thank you both for a great weekend. Truly enjoyable.

Wonderful home from home welcome and stay.

Maggie and Martin are very interesting and "interested" individuals. 
Clean good sized room, comfortable bed, excellent wi-fi. 
Continental breakfast with fresh pineapple & plums, other fruits, various breads, yogurt etc. was a refreshing change from cooked breakfasts. 
Parking charges in the city are excessive so I left the car on-site and took the bus which was easily accessed from the B&B.
If in the area, would stay again.

A comfortable relaxed stay.

stayed there twice, since i had a course in Girton and i would always come back when i have to go to Cambrigde again.Maggie and Martin are wonderful and very helpful with really everything,it was like you are coming home to your family.The rooms are comfortable and clean,the beds are amazing! and the fresh made coffee in the morning safed my day:)Highly recommended!
