Lovely meal as always and the server Anthony was very friendly, helpful, polite and efficient. We went as 2 couples and we had macaroni, katsu chicken, chicken goujons and ribs and all were perfect. Will be back

Perfect meal

I've been to the Wellington for lunch for business on numerous occasions now and I've always been warmly welcomed and received good food. The staff are very friendly and my most recent waiter Anthony was very attentive and welcoming. 

A great place to eat

Very clean and tidy rooms, very kind staff ready to greet you. As soon as we arrived, because we were staying overnight, they gave us a 20% voucher that can be used in their restaurant for lunch and dinner. We used it for dinner, rich menus, and super good dishes, especially sandwiches. Very quiet place, very comfortable bed. Breakfast with cereal, fruit, brioches, buffet yogurt or pick some English dishes from the menu.

Above expectations

This is not a good choice if you are looking to eat there .They had no ice for drinks and we ordered steak pie and it was terrible .There is not a kids menu so 1 of my friends opted for onion rings and chips so not child friendly.The 1 good thing was the serving staff were excellent and helpful and we got a reduction on the bill because of the standard of food

I was in for lunch a couple of months ago and had the Sunday roast. The staff were so lovely and friendly.  the food definitely hit the spot. The beef was cooked perfectly and the cauliflower cheese was super cheesy. Will absolutely be back. 

Friendly staff and great food

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, the restaurant was tidy and busy, but the accommodation was a different story.  I booked a double room. Upon arrival to room i noticed ripped wall paper, only 1 cup and 1 chain and only 1 bedside cabinet and 1 table lamp. With a double bed, the electric cable for second bedside light had been cut from the socket. In the bathroom there were no plug in either the shower or wash basin, so if anything fell it would go straight down the drain. In the evening there was no hot water. This was room 11, when i realised there was no hot water in morning i went to reception, i was told the room was only set up for 1 person as i was staying myself, so 1 mug, 1 chair and all otherbits had been removed was the impression i got off. I was then moved to room 1 which the shower head does not lock onto the height adjustable rod but it accepted it.  I went back to room 11 when i got back to the hotel at night to collect my bag and move to room 1 and i had been told in morning that room 11 was getting put out of service until, room was fixed but when i went back in fresh towels were sitting for another person so room clearly was not put out of service, otherwise fresh towels would not be sitting on bed.

Good restaurant, poor accomodation

We were looking for a family friendly relaxed vibe with good quality food. I really liked the spaciousness of the restaurant and our booth. We were definitely happy with the choice and quality of food. There was something for everyone. (Though my haddock was a little overcooked and on the chewy side.) Staff were lovely.

Family friendly

I have been to other Greene King venues in Aberdeen for breakfast with Santa and the Wellington hotel won by miles. From start to finish it run smoothly, the elf, especially was fab at his job, spending time with the kids & families. Our breakfasts & service were really good too. It was clear that whoever planned the event, done it so well, said person should be proud.

Thought we’d hit the jackpot when Found this hotel which was near to where our daughter was moving too, we thought the price was good and we were hoping that it did what we wanted it to as we would be using it frequently while we visited Aberdeen.
So we  booking it for 3 nights to start with while deciding  on how long we were going to stay for. On our arrival to our room we found the bed to be small and very uncomfortable but we thought it was only for 3 nights, in the night ( around 2 am ) there was so much noise from the radiators that it kept us awake for over an hour when I called reception, they moved us to another room further from the noisy radiator in the hallway. So bed 2 was also small and hard, I took the bedding from bedroom one to put underneath us so to make it a bit more comfortable. For the rest of our stay.The breakfast was ok in the mornings and the staff were polite.
The food in the evening was very good which I would recommend anyone to try.
Such a shame about the beds otherwise I would probably return at some point but as they are I’m afraid it’s a big NO.

Worst beds EVER….

We enjoyed a one night stay in this convenient hotel on the south side of the city with easy access to the main road. We had a nice quiet family room at the rear of the building which had a large bathroom and was equipped with all you need. The bed was comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant (which I reviewed separately). All the staff we encountered were welcoming and helpful. I would be happy to stay here again and to recommend this hotel to others.
