I and my wife used this property for our 1 day visit to Aberdeen. Nice, spacious and clean room. Impeccable service with Freda being a great host. Location is also very good with parking available. Highly recommended as it offers very good value for money. 

Great host, nice and clean 

I chose this Guesthouse, based on reivews; both on here and at another well known hotel/B&B site.  If you can cope with a shared bathroom, the price is one of the lowest I saw for rooms in Aberdeen; at £33 (if booked via that well known website) or £30 if booked directly.  Don't let the low price fool you, though; they don't scimp on the extras, to keep their prices down.

The Armadale is around 10 to 15 minutes out of Aberdeen city centre, by bus; the no. 1 and no. 2 buses stopping right outside.  Checking in hours are way better than some places I've stayed in, giving you from 4pm to 9pm to book in.  Freda was very friendly and welcoming, putting me at my ease straight away; taking my breakfast order at the same time.

The room itself was spotlessly clean and had all the things you'd expect from a room at a B&B; such as tea/coffee making facilities, flat screen TV, wardrobe and towels for the bathroom.  The room also came with a basin and (unusually for a B&B) it's own fridge; should you be staying for a few days and need somewhere one.  The bed, whilst slightly wobbly, was extremely comfortable and I actually found I nodded off after laying on it for only a few minutes!  As can be seen from the photos, there was a double gang socket next to it, so I could plug in my mobile phone and tablet; to charge them overnight.

I was lucky, in that the other user for the shared bathroom leaves very early (he stays regularly) and access to it wasn't an issue, at all, but I was prepared to use the basin to wash, if I'd needed to.  Like the room, the bathroom was clean and showergel was provided.  I found the shower a little tricky to get the temperature right in, but managed it eventually.

Some B&Bs let themselves down with breakfast.  The Armadale isn't one of those!  Cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit, along with fruit juice, were provided.  I have to say, I do like a cooked breakfast (probably too much, given my growing waistline), but the one I had at the Armadale was one of the best I've had in recent times; with plenty of toast and tea, to go with it.

As others have said, Freda has many regular guests and, on the basis of my stay there, it's not difficult to see why.  I'll definitely be staying again.

Very Reasonably Priced and Near The City Centre

The first time I’ve stayed here, really nice guest house, nice, clean & comfortable, all I need for a one night stay, car park at the back or you can park on the street, looking forward to my cooked breakfast in the morning, reasonable price too

Overnight stay

I stayed overnight to save travel for university. I have now booked in every week. It's a beautiful place and very well cared for. Lovely cooked breakfast and facilities to make your dinner at night. Great value for money, I would recommend to all 

Very clean and friendly 

Had to visit Aberdeen for a couple of days, at relatively short notice. Chose this B & B on the strength of other recommendations and I wasn't disappointed. It is situated a few minutes bus ride from the centre of town, with a bus stop right outside the door.  Free car parking at the back. Freda was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. My single room, with shared bathroom, was bright, clean and very comfortable. I opted for a full breakfast which was delicious. I was surprised to see fresh strawberries and blueberries among the other choices available.  I used the free wifi with no problems. There is a 24 hour Asda and a takeaway a few minutes walk away if you are on a budget and don't want to dine out. A microwave is available in the dining room up till 9pm at night to allow you to heat up meals. This B & B seems to have many regular clients and I can see why. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Aberdeen.
