The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the hotel is spotless. Wide range of whiskies and the food is excellent i highly recommend this beautiful hotel. This hotel is in a great location for visting the Highlands and surrounded by all the whisky distillerys which provide great tours.

Amazing

Another great stay at the Highlander Inn. The staff are so friendly and helpful - thank you Tatsuya, Cathy, Billy, Ben. The room was comfy and clean, great shower. Breakfasts are tasty and set you up for a day of exploring Speyside. Great dinners, amazing location, and we  had a wonderful time.

Great stay

We were very tired and hungry after a long journey and were happy that they could accommodate us for a table. 
I soon saw why; the place is very tired and dated, in great need of a revamp! 
I struggled to find something on the limited menu, but settled for steak & ale pie. It didn’t hit the spot, the gravy/sauce was quite sickly, almost barbecue like in flavour. The dessert was a total disaster! We were so happy to see our Scottish favourite “cranachan” on the dessert menu and the staff member was happy to take our order as, it was the chef’s first attempt in making it! Strange, for a Scottish bar/restaurant! It was basically a mix of sweet, liquid cream or evaporated milk, mixed with oats at topped with 3 raspberries; totally inedible! That said, The staff were very friendly and created a very warm atmosphere; such a shame it was let down in other areas.

Great atmosphere, shame about the rest!

Ate in the Whisky Bar mainly because my husband wanted to try local whiskies. Food was surprisingly tasty - grilled chicken with peppercorn sauce, steak & ale pie. Whisky flight menu was a treasure trove & the barman was exceptionally knowledgeable. Not much atmosphere - almost empty on a Tuesday evening.

Lovely Inn ,lovely comfortable bed,nice breakfast,on our Scottish tour so late booking and was kindly fitted in for evening meal when they were very busy,meal was very good,very large collection of whisky’s .A very good stay.

Lovely Inn

A superbly ran Inn in a fantastic location for Distillery tours of the region. Some lovely walks from the doorstep , shops/garage in close vicinity. Rooms are clean and very good value , if you are here for Whisky then this is unbeatable. It’s a small bar but has a huge range of superb Whisky and very knowledgable owner and staff. Tatsuya ( sorry if spelt wrong ) is a wonderful host and Kai ( sorry if spelt wrong ) is a top lad , both have  an exceptional
Knowledge of Whisky,  I think Tommy was the name of the other lad that’s there regularly ( sorry if I got the name wrong , again 🤣)  he also has a great knowledge and is a top lad. All the staff are very attentive, breakfast in the morning was great and evening meals are from a small limited menu but are , for this reason , I think exceptional and great value. 

There are 2 other bars/hotels nearby. 

Copper Dog is great, don’t forget to venture upstairs to the hotel whisky/cocktail bar, a little pricey but lovely surroundings and atmosphere. 

All in All I’d score Highlander 11 out of 10 it’s above perfect 👍

Highlander Inn Whisky Weekender

Whisky drinkers dream stay. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about all things Whisky. They were also very welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The food at the restaurant was also tasty and the rooms had all the necessities. It's also in a perfect area to see all of Speyside. Definitely would come back for another stay!

Whisky Lovers Dream

I'm giving it a 5/5 because one comes here for the whisky and wonderful staff.  It's a small place and the rooms are also small.  The en-suite shower is serviceable, but were I a larger person there's little doubt I could not have used the shower.

Again, one comes here for a whisky collection that is both large and interesting, and not a Spa experience.

Whisky Lover's - Petite Retreat

My wife and i spent a couple of nights at the Highlander Inn and it was great 

from when we arrived to we left the staff were so welcoming and friendly and Billy at the bars knowledge of whisky and advice was brilliant very welcome 

The food was great and the whisky was fantastic the room was great and it was so relaxed great atmosphere will definitely be visiting again in the future

The perfect place to relax and recharge 👍🏻

Stayed here for a night as we were visiting some of the local distilleries. We were lucky enough to be able to check in when we arrived before heading off for the tours. Room was really clean with a massive bathroom only slight problem was as we were in room 6 the ceilings were angled and my brother is so tall he had to bend down when moving around. Also had our evening meal in the hotel and the food was really nice. Locals and staff were also really friendly. We would definitely recommend and go back !
