By far the best place we have ever stayed, everything was perfect, yes it was, extremely clean and sparkling, all the little extras like fresh baking, coffee/tea,  with port, sherry and whiskey any time you return, fantastic breakfasts.  Despite the massive storm on Friday 26th November, they soldiered on like real troopers with no power etc., thankfully there was a log burning stove so   they still managed to come up with wonderful breakfasts and loads of extra blankets.  

Beyond expectations

At the time we thought this was an absolutely wonderful place to stay and after returning from a lengthy trip around Scotland and staying in 9 other similarly priced B&Bs we are in no doubt that this is a really perfect place to stay.
From the warm, friendly, informative yet unobtrusive host, to the splendindly appointed rooms. Our room the Crathes was delightful and comfortable as was the lounge and dining area. The lovely presented and well cooked breakfast and the scones on arrival. We think that anyone wanting to know how hospitality should be done should stay here, everything seemed just right. We were only sorry that we only had one short overnight stay at Struan Hall.

Perfection

Very friendly staff made me feel very welcome, nice and warm and very clean and tidy very comfy bed and over all lovely place, will be returning again in the near future, thanks again for your lovely hospitality, this is a must if you are staying in the area!

Lovely place and felt very welcome

There simply is nothing to complain about.  The best hospitality, with a very welcome cup of tea and cake on arrival - and the offer or a sherry or a whiskey.  Lovely room.  Help with my bags.  Dinner at a local restaurant booked for me.
Comfy bed.  Clean towels each day - and, the best innovation ever, a charcoal coloured facecloth with "makeup removal" stitched on it so I didn't worry about ruining the white one - lovely toiletries.  Great breakfast.  
Simply nothing to complain about.  It completely exceeded my expectations.

Exceedingly good stay.

We stayed at Struan Hall after climbing Lochnagar so were looking forward to a warm shower & a comfy bed. Struan Hall didn’t disappoint. We received a very warm welcome & the room itself was lovely, clean & comfortable. We were given homemade cakes & biscuits which was an added wee treat we really enjoyed. Breakfast in the morning was the highlight for us, lots of choice and the hot food was cooked perfectly. Look forward to staying again in future.

Lovely Stay & Brilliant Breakfast

We spent the night with Judith and George at Struan Hall to attend a wedding nearby.  From the initial welcome to saying goodby Judith went out of her way to look after us, offering refreshments when we arrived, and a wonderful freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. The house itself is a beautiful old building very tastefully decorated offering guests a beautiful lounge to use.  Our bedroom was the smallest in the house as we booked quite late on and is normally used as a single, however it was a very comfortable double room c/w a modern shower room.  From the soft white towels to the dark flannel for makeup removal everything had been thought about carefully to ensure the guests wanted for nothing.  Tea, coffee and home bakes were available in the lounge and bedroom which was a lovely touch.  All in all a very enjoyable stay and hopefully we will have occasion to return soon.

Wonderful Stay

This beautiful house is the setting for a fabulous B&B!  We were welcomed  by Judith with a cuppa and lovely home made cakes, which were then provided each day of our stay!  The room is so lovely, decor fabulous, scrupulously clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.  Breakfast is certainly not a disappointment, fresh food, with a wide choice of dishes for every taste.  Would not hesitate in recommending.

Fabulous B&B

We stayed here for 5 nights and cannot recommend this place highly enough. The rooms are fabulous and the owners, Judith and George, cannot do enough for you. From home made cakes offered every day and tea/coffee offered every time you come back from a day out, it’s so relaxing..if a little fattening!! 😂 . If we come back to this area again, we will certainly try and book in here first.

Fantastic B&B

Stayed there 1 night as we had a wedding at Glen tanar. 
Best B&b we have ever stayed in.
Very friendly owner who made us most welcome.  The Guest house was very clean and tidy throughout. 
The food was perfect-100%. 
Loved the cakes.
Would stay there again if returning to Aboyne.

Great stay.

Struan Hall is the best B and B I have ever stayed in. The accommodation is superb as is the exquisite breakfast. Judith, the owner, is friendly and goes out of her way to add unexpected extras. Returning from a day of sightseeing, she welcomes guests with tea/coffee and homemade cakes, which are delicious. Also provided is malt whisky, sherry and port. Never come across hospitality like this before. Just coming to the end of our second visit and have booked again for August. If I could give Struan Hall 11/10 I would. Superb!
