Unexpected overnight stay. Owners very helpful and communicative. Room very well planned and comfortable. Tea and coffee in room, tv, proper cotton bedding. Good internet. 
Spotlessly clean. Instant hot water and excellent shower. 
Tasty varied breakfast and good coffee. 
Lovely surroundings. Super countryside haven. 
Highly recommend - and a big thank you for a relaxing stay.

Perfect rescue haven!!

It was terrible. The hotel owners were terribly unhelpful and unkind. I was travelling solo and stranded in a flooded road 3 minutes away from the hotel and called to inform the owners.
I was terrified and in need of help. They did nothing to help me and left me stranded and did not communicate to me that there was any alternative way of getting there.
Hopefully karma will come around and these people will learn how to treat their guests with decency. 

Terrible

We stayed in the Little Maid's Room for just one night. Very comfortable room, with low ceilings and sloping floor - typical of the period (16th century!).

The stairs up to this room are very steep - not a problem for us but would be for many, so worth checking access if you have issues.

Low ceilings meant that it has a bath but no shower.

Breakfast was "full English" - just what you need to set you up for the day.

Great location to explore Suffolk!

Lovely Olde Suffolk B&B!

Just got back from a two night stay at Colston Hall Bed and Breakfast and had a great experience.
This was our first experience of a B&B and we weren’t disappointed.
The house is 16th century with lots of character low ceilings and narrow stairs and a very unique feel about it. The room we stayed in was the Little Maids room and we were extremely comfortable, it doesn’t have a shower but does have a bath which made a nice change for us.
So much choice for breakfast, cereals  fruit, and a home cooked breakfast if required which was lovely. We will definitely stay here again so that we can explore the Suffolk countryside. 

Great stay in this unique B&B

Wonderful place, owners made us both feel very welcome, beds very comfy, room cosy. Room well catered for all needs 
Breakfast excellent, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore this lovely area of Suffolk.  

Lovely b and b

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Delightful setting, surrounded by wonderful Suffolk countryside. Excellent, cooked English breakfast. My room was small, but warm and comfortable. Easy to use TV. Very peaceful and quiet.

A taste of Cider with Rosie.

Used this location as a base to visit friends in the Suffolk area. Well located on farmland, very quiet and peaceful. Cottage had all we needed and was generally well kept ( did find a few bugs in bed)
Would stay here again when visiting the area, slightly over-priced probably as a result of the COVID situation, needless to say most of the UK hospitality industry has been cashing in on the staycation.
Overall a good place to stay in central Suffolk.

Pleasant Suffolk stay

We booked two adjacent cottages for a family weekend. We didn’t have any huge problems with the accommodation but for the price paid it was not what we would expect. If you enjoy staying in incredibly dated accommodation with no luxuries at all then this is the place for you. All glasses and Crockery is counted before and after each stay so if you break something by accident you’re expected to pay for it (on top of the already extortionate price), there are minimal supplies left for you such as a washing up liquid and a sponge but no washing powder for clothes, salt and pepper etc. 
The owners were pretty unwelcoming when we arrived - it felt like we were really inconveniencing them with our arrival. Shortly later I discovered we had no towels. We hadn’t been informed before arrival to bring towels and when I asked for them I was told it was because of covid. Really not acceptable for the price being paid. 
When it comes to check out you are expected to empty every bin in the house (or face a charge of £20/bin) and the space to leave bins was quite frankly disgusting. 
Colston hall served a purpose - giving us a bed for three nights but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone given the price they charge (in fact we didn’t even pay the full price as the owner had forgotten to update her website with new prices when we booked). We have recently rented a luxury house with the same number of rooms in the Isle of Wight which was cheaper for a week than Colston Hall for a week.

An overpriced and dated stay

This delightful farmhouse is situated deep in the Suffolk countryside - it's therefore very quiet and very dark at night!  Our room was quirky but very comfortable with a bathroom almost the same size - it was obviously quite new, with a great walk-in shower and lots of hot water.  We were able to park right outside our room and the breakfast room was almost next door.  Breakfasts were good, and efficiently served in a lovely dining room.  As the property was quite old, the sound carried of other guests moving about in their room above us, and on the stairs, but this didn't disturb us unduly.  The room was also a little dusty on arrival.  However, neither of these things would stop us staying there again.  Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Charming farmhouse set in beautiful countryside - quiet, comfortable room with fantastic bathroom

Found this as a last minute B&B during a Suffolk road trip. Great service from booking through to breakfast. Comfortable and clean we stayed in the Squires Room - narrow and steep stairs to the room but ok for us. Friendly service and a good breakfast, 10/10 would recommend and would return.
