We met up with friends for an overnight stay. The rooms are beautiful and beds are comfortable. We had a light lunch and then dinner in the evening the atmosphere is lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We would stay here again when visiting Stratford upon Avon lovely country hotel.

Nice place and very clean
Good food had by all, my gammon was very good and the others enjoyed theirs
Drinks fine but disappointed with the Irish coffee needs bulking up with more cream
Staff were fine easy and relaxed

A truly wonderful stay ,on arrival the welcome was lovely, the room was clean modern and extremely spacious,,the location is beautiful right in the heart of Shakespeare  County, the staff being so attentive in the restaurant and bar where nothing was too much.
We didn't want to leave. The food was delicious and an amazing Indian selection on the menu ,it was so nice to take our little chihuahua as this place is extremely dog friendly and surprisingly they also greated our dog and remered her name the next day .

A perfect little Hideaway 

We found this pub restaurant via Instagram and thought we’d give it a go for lunch,the food was first class with friendly service, a little gem to visit just 4 miles from Stratford, we’ll definitely be going back, I had the sizzling Tandoori chicken and the house burger, my wife had the Caprese and the Gammon and chips both were cooler to perfection, thank you all for a lovely experience

Fantastic pub on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon

This is a really well run establishment. There is obvious care and dedication by the owner and his team and this shines through in all aspects of the experience.
We ate from the Indian menu. Sometimes when pubs try to do this the results are disappointing. However, the Indian food was all amazing- better than the local indian restaurants and clearly home made and presented with love. The rest of the menu was great too- my son had the fish and chips which he absolutely loved.
Service was friendly and super efficient and there are lots of options for seating from the pub bar to more of a restaurant feel. 
Was quite busy even on a Wednesday in January and you can see why.

Superb restaurant and excellent service

A lovely inn in a great location for us as we were driving into Birmingham NEC the following day. Rooms were very comfortable and had been recently refurbished. Tasteful decor, warm and everything you needed - tea and coffee facilities and decent wifi. Shower room was spotless. Ate lunch before heading off into Stratford upon Avon and then had dinner there too. Food was very good and well priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Full English breakfast the next morning - tasty! Very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend. 

Great stay and good price! 

We found the quality of the afternoon tea was disgusting.  The cakes provided were all clearly from a very poor quality supplier, none were home baked. They seemed to be shop bought cheap quality standard. Even the scones were horrible, cheap quality. Very disappointing birthday treat.

Awful Afternoon Tea !!

Stayed at The Blue Boar with my husband using a voucher for an overnight stay and dinner for 2.  Can't fault the service and food, as it was excellent. The room was very clean and comfortable too. However, after paying our bill and going up to our room we realised we had been charged for 2 extra drinks that we did not order. The next morning we spoke to the manager and explained what had happened. Instead of apologising for the error and rectifying it straight away, we were made to feel like we were lying as he questioned us and seemed reluctant to refund us. He eventually refunded us saying, 'He would just have to trust us this time'. Which completely ruined our experience of staying there. 
After reading a few other reviews it seems to be a common theme of 'extra' items being added to bills. So always double check before paying.

We decided to go on Valentines evening and it was one of the best meals we have had. We were staying locally and decided to take a chance on here. We have had the most amazing valentine set menus , that we were weren’t expecting . Beautiful fresh food and great service , would defiantly recommend, we even went back a second night in a row . Surprise Valentines

Another very pleasant stay at The Blue Boar.....  two of us, each very happy with our rooms. We had a nice light lunch before an evening trip to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre to see The Tempest with Alex Kingston as Prospero...... this is a good base for Stratford.
