Arrived after driving through a horrendous thunder storm, and met by Christine. She showed us in and explained where things were. Could not have been more helpful. The place is ideal for two people, and we loved the view over the garden. We were that taken with it we booked there and then for July. We had gone down for our Godsons wedding on the Saturday so knew we wouldn’t get to see the area so decided we would go back. Christine and Ted could not have been more helpful, they even booked us a taxi to and from the wedding. Back home in Yorkshire now, but if your thinking of visiting the Cotswolds or Stratford Upon Avon, this place is ideal. Try it for yourself and see.

Lovely place

Had booked an en-suite room with en-suite breakfast. Was given a cold, damp, smelly room with a shared bathroom and told breakfast was not available. The website and booking.com promise a 'superb breakfast' and spacious rooms.  The room that was given has not received any attention since the 1980s. It was so damp and cold, had to sleep with clothes on.  Be warned - web descriptions and booking confirmations bear no resemblance to what you get when you get there!

Horror Hotel

We stayed for a week in May 2021 and had a really enjoyable time. The owners, Chris and Ted were so friendly and would do anything they could for you. One of the first things we did when we got there was join them for a drink in the garden, and we spent a good while chatting. 

We stayed in the Honeysuckle suite which consists of 3 separate rooms partitioned from the main house by a curtain. 

The bedroom has a double and a twin bed with wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin; and the lounge/Kitchenette combined has a 2 seater sofa and a dining table with chairs and a side Kitchenette with everything we needed. 

You could cook a small evening meal but we ate out because there are so many nice pubs/restaurants in the area that were too good to miss. Owners will happily point out their favourite places to eat. 

Breakfast is continental. There's a set list, you tick what you want and leave it for Christine and she delivers it to you each evening ready for breakfast the following morning. There was a large selection (cereal, eggs, meat, cheese, yoghurt etc) so we didn't get bored, and it was really tasty with fresh pastries from the bakery. 

The B&B is set about a mile down the road from Bidford on Avon, with beautiful countryside and villages a short drive away.
We visited Evesham, Stratford, Cheltenham, and various cotswold villages during our stay.
There's more we want to explore in the area, so next time we can we'll be back, and would stay at Brookleys again.

Lovely break

We visited Brookley in august 2020. We recieved such a warm welcome from Ted, Chris and all the family including Rob Dog. It was just like staying with family, this was our first visit but not our last, john the other guest from scotland has been visiting for 20 plus years that's got to go a long way in saying how lovely these people are. The suite was a good size with all you need, breakfast was as big or as small as you like and you can have priviciay or just get involved and be part of their family.
We will be back and for longer.

Ted and Chris are such lovely honest people

I rarely stay in B&Bs, a combination of poor childhood experiences and if I'm being honest, a bit of snobishness (if that's a word!). We were having a school friends' get together and my former school colleague lives locally. We booked early to avoid disappointment and the proprietor contacted me immediately to determine if we had any special requirements. I highlighted a gluten-free diet and this was, apparently, something that they could cater for.

We arrived to be welcomed at the gate by the owner. Very friendly and very helpful. We had a self-contained suite. Kitchen/lounge, bathroom and twin beds in the bedroom. Our own front door but a secret door at the back to gain access to the breakfast room.

Extremely comfotable and very reasonably priced. This is a location that we will use again. 

Breakfast was good but having to share a large table with other guests wasn't the best experience I have had. Given the circumstances it was unavoidable but I prefer to be able to eat with a degree of privacy. I'm being picky here but this was the only negative.

The owners, husband and wife, are lovely people. Book direct if you want a really good deal!

A rare B&B experience.

Visited this fab farmhouse with my partner in November on a whistlestop tour. Had a couple of problems finding the house due to dodgy directions but got there in the end. Owners were so welcome with a nice suprise when being shown to our room. This ended up being a bedroom, seperate bathroom with our own little sitting room with a small kitchen with lovely views into the garden.  Even got to have a wander around the working farm and met their two horses and former sheepdog who was so friendly. Just couldn't fault their hospitality. Cooked breakfast in the morning was in the family dining room which was lovely and homely. It was very tranquil and quiet, and also very dark at night as it's quite remote with no street lights outside. There is very limited mobile phone access also intermittent WiFi due to the location but this is explained in their very extensive handy guide.  Would definitely visit again.....

Fantastic stay

Stayed here for two nights as we were going to an event just up the road ,
Could not ask for any better hosts, 
The rooms were as drescribed , lovely large shower and plenty of hot water , 
The breakfasts were perfect . And all set in a stunning old English farm house ,
Were made to feel very welcome and would deffinatley stay again 

Couldn’t wish for more 

A small double room with a separate bathroom next to it. Clean and tidy if a little dated. The owners were really lovely people and happy to chat. They ran the farm which you could explore to find the two ponies and Rob the Collie dog. They run a caravan park next door. The breakfasts were a treat, really tasty and plenty on the plate making lunch almost not required. Handy for touring the Cotswolds and visiting Stratford upon Avon. Secure parking area at the back of the property with electric gates. We would go back again.

Most welcoming owners

We have visited many times over the years and as always a warm welcome awaited us before we were shown to our clean and cosy suite.  Breakfast is to be ordered the night before and served at a large dining table in the morning.  Nothing is ever too much trouble for the hosts Ted and Christine who love opening their home to guests 

Sneaky break

The owners were the sweetest people. After a long days walking, we got back to a lovely room with kitchen etc. We hadnt got food for the evening and despite us letting them know that we could go to the nearest pub they brought us round bread, cheese and pickle as they were worried about us. Very relaxing stay. Only small issue is that its not that easy without a car to get to somewhere to eat in the evening but we still found a great pub and had a beautiful dinner. Perfect breakfast in the morning as well to set us up!
