Not been for a while but had the most wonderful stay again with George and Jackie. 
Accommodating as usual. Such a lovely breakfast. I chose the kipper pate which Jackie had made with some lovely fresh brown toast. 
My husband chose the full English, which again did not disappoint.
The bed was very comfortable and Room 1 was very spacious and scrupulously clean. 
George and Jackie never fail to make us most welcome and we will definitely return at some point.

Awesome Alnwick

Excellent stay at Holly Lodge.
Lovely large room, very clean with comfortable king size bed.  Good size bathroom, also very clean.
Owners very friendly & helpful.
Cooked breakfast was excellent, and good choice on menu for other options.
Near to town centre, couple of minutes walk to pubs/restaurants.
Secure on site parking too.
Would definitely return & recommend to friends.
Enjoyed watching the hens/cockerel from our window.

Excellent stay at Holly Lodge

This was our third stay at Holly Lodge in the last 8 years and we have always found George and Jackie to be welcoming, friendly and ready to please. Our room was perfectly adequate for our stay, with a comfortable bed and a good bathroom and shower. Breakfast offered a good choice and was served by very attentive and helpful staff. The on-site parking was a bonus and the accommodation was peacefully situated but only a short walk from the town centre. Next time we're in the area we will certainly stay again.

A very pleasant and faultless experience

Expensive for what you get.
Positives - dedicated enclosed parking, easy self service check-in, clean, comfy bed.
negatives - room was quite cramped, bathroom could probably do with some TLC.
Breakfast has to be ordered the day before. latest breakfast 8.30am
Not impressed with continental option - no choice of juice - only orange juice on offer. Tinned fruit - no fresh fruit, fruit salad, mixed berries etc.
Cooked breakfast was OK - not the most generous of portions.
Main issue was we felt an inconvenience to the staff/owner. Virtually no interaction with guests.
 breakfast feels rushed, they start clearing food away and laying tables for the next day while you are still eating. Felt uncomfortable asking for more tea + toast, as it seemed they wanted us out of the breakfast room ASAP.

Probably wouldn't stay again

Thank you so much for a beautiful stay at Holly Lodge, We received a very warm welcoming when we arrived from George and Jackie and our room was very clean and comfortable. 
The next day we had breakfast that was cooked perfect and hot when it arrived. 
We will definitely visit Holly Lodge again in the future.

A Beautiful Stay

Not a place we would recommend, breakfast is a rushed affair,they start laying up the empty tables while you are still eating and you can’t have a conversation with the people next to you as they make too much noise. We expected fresh fruit like other places but got tinned fruit .One day the cooked breakfast came out before we had even finished our cereal and it was not always very hot. Clean towels and bed linen put on the floor outside your room where everyone walks not very hygienic. Room didn’t seem to get hoovered and we had a dead beetle in the bathroom when we arrived and it was there when we left, bathroom floor wasn’t very clean.

Not good 

Great 3 nights stay. As usual everything was spot on. Reserved secure parking space front of house walled garden with gates only 2 minutes to town center pubs & restaurants. Very quiet area. Rooms are spotless with coffee,tea  biscuits, hairdryer & fan. Bathrooms have handwash, shower gel & great showers. Breakfast is fabulous with fruit, cereals, jam, marmalade & honey. Cooked breakfast is all locally sourced & eggs are from the owners hens. Jackie & George are great hosts & work hard to maintain a top quality B&B. Will be back ASAP. Mark & Penny.

Yet another fantastic relaxing stay at Holly Lodge

Lovely clean place. Staff friendly & helpful. Very understanding regarding dietary requirements.  Rooms have everything you need.  Room 2 is a ground floor room which is handy  but not too much extra space. Fine for a short stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked & delicious. Short walk to centre of town. On site parking is a bonus

Nice stay

Booked 2 nights at the Holly Lodge perfect stay, breakfast is one of the best we have had with plenty of choice.  Friendly and accommodating owners George and Jackie . Fanyastic location just a short walk into Alnwick town centre will definitely return

Fabulous stay

We’ve been coming for a few years now to holly lodge and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Lovely staff who couldn’t do more for you and have great knowledge of the local area. Breakfast is wonderful, great varied choice, freshly cooked and super tasty. Looking forward to our visit again next year.
