Brilliant location, near the castle and gardens, both in walking distance 
The accommodation is beautiful, my room catered for my every need. It was comfortable, spacious and light and airy
There is a large kitchen downstairs with milk for you to help yourself to for tea and coffee and ice is also available 
The bathroom is also large, shower was brilliant , large and hot! 
Would highly recommend this accommodation 
Barter books just up the road, my idea of heaven, the Plough across the road where you can park for free and they serve lovely meals . Then just through the ‘gate’ to the town a whole array of shops and eateries 
Absolutely brilliant, loved it!

Perfect location, beautiful accommodation

Luxurious.  Well stocked hospitality tray fresh milk in kitchen nice & warm useful to dry boot/coat.  Double bed bit hard our feet over-shot 
top of protruding wooden bed frame.  We could only find parking on a residential street away from Tate House.

Brilliantly clean really good quality room furniture and fluffiest pillows which I loved

It's in a great location, complimentary car parking over the road at The Plough and easy access to the property. We stayed in Room 2 and it was nice and decorated to a high standard, it has its own en-suite and kettle with teas and coffees and the room was cleaned every morning. Reason we are giving it a 3 is mainly due to the lack of sleep we got, which is a shame :( The bed for us wasn't quite to our liking, mattress was a bit hard and the pillows were too hard for us. Secondly you can hear the road which can get loud at times but the most annoying thing for us was you could hear the people in Room 3 talking, going up and down the stairs, using their bathroom and generally stomping around the room. There were 3 different groups of people above us during our stay and all of them we could hear them stomping around often till middnight which wasnt great if you wanted an early night, so room 2 is not soundproofed as advertised, so overall we just didn't sleep well our whole stay, which is a shame. Anyone booking I'd suggest booking room 1 as away from road, no one above you and you have an ensuite. I would stay here again but only if there were softer pillows and I had booked room 1 as overall location of property was great. 

Lovely room and great location, shame about the noise :( 

Very tastefully decorated room (room 2) with king size bed. Did not use the sitting room downstairs. No street parking but used the parking at the rear of the Plough. We have stayed previously at the Bondgate Boutique across the road so kind of new what to expect. Would stay in either if in the area again.
Great base for exploring the area. Reasonably priced also.

Very nice room only

I booked Standard Room 1 which is described as a small room. This did make me worry a little but I needn’t have. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable I slept like a log but what really made it extra special was the little touches - a choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water and sweet treats. The bathroom had lovely toiletries. We had a fabulous time in Alnwick made even more special by our stay at Tate House which is close by to all the visitor attractions.

Amazing Stay!

This little house is a wee gem. Spotlessly clean, very well presented and appointed with thoughtful touches to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed.  Ony three rooms but with everything you could wish for.  Can't praise it enough.

A real find this one!

We have just returned from a two night stay in Tate House Alnwick. We stayed in room 2, which had recently been refurbished. It was beautifully decorated and well furnished. Lots of little extra touches - chocolates, biscuits, plenty tea bags etc. Nice shower room with good quality products. Large room with two armchairs. Comfortable bed. Free parking at the Plough was an added bonus. Central location for all attractions in Alnwick. Plenty of places nearby for breakfast. We would definitely return to Tate House if visiting Alnwick again. 

Luxury stay

My partner and I have just returned from a 3 night stay. Check in was easy and the door codes were sent out before hand via email. The room was comfortable and we slept well. The owners left an information book in the drawer about places to visit and where we could eat breakfast in the mornings. The biscuits and chocolates that were left in the room were a lovely touch. We would definitely return here again.

A lovely few days stay 

We stayed for 4 nights. Check in was very easy, door codes etc were messaged to us prior to arrival. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed; good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. The complimentary toiletries were of good quality….. I loved the shampoo and conditioner. All in all a very enjoyable stay

Nice relaxing stay

I was met by the owner Leo at check in and he offered to help with my bags, which was great when solo parenting with a 10 month old and the check out really easy.  

The set up of the Tate house is perfect for a family with a young baby. The room was big enough for a travel cot, with accessible plug sockets for the baby monitor. There is no issue with the signal, so once our little one was put to bed at 7, I made myself comfortable in the living room space downstairs. There is a wide selection of dvds to watch and the all the rooms were cozy and comfortable. 

I have to say that the pillows were one of the most comfortable Iv experiences at hotels/b&b.
