Absolutely perfect.  We arrived on Saturday 23rd December.  Got settled into our lodge which was as they said fully equipped except for a Tin opener. We went to Woody’s for a drink or two and our tea.  Food was good. Next day being Christmas Eve we went back to the bar for a couple of hours, Christmas day we nipped up again although we were cooking our dinner.  Their restaurant price’s were a little bit high for 5 of us to eat there. Overall a really good trip.  We have two dogs that both needed good walks.  Plenty of those to be had. Slight disappointment.  The gardens could do with being fenced off.  With having two dogs there we could have done with a fence so they could have just have a run out in the garden.

Pleasant site bar to get well priced drinks and food.
Very enjoyable stay, already booked future visits.

Lovely site, would highly recommend

A lovely place so quiet and beautiful surroundings. We stayed in a woodland room overnight. Easy to find with our map from reception. Our own parking space and although ten metres to the bar.... lovely meal ... really quiet. The room itself was spotless with very comfy beds and huge bathroom. One point. As they don't do breakfast which didn't bother us....maybe a fridge in the room for fresh milk and our own continental breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Hidden gem

Just returned from our first visit in our touring caravan. Beautiful site and well maintained.  Lovely atmosphere everywhere. Toilet block and showers nice and clean,  plenty of bins everywhere.  The on site pub is quite nice.  Food wasn't good tbh and was expensive.  We tried 2 nights and that was enough money wasted. Pizza was the best out of the ten meals we had (5 people, 2 nights). Drinks slightly more than we usually pay but it's a holiday site so it's to be expected.  All in all a great place to stay but would be better to cook your own food. 

Lovely well maintained site

I thought it prudent to leave feedback following our experience at Woodland Waters.  My wife, Kate and family (Kates sister and husband) had originally booked form 26-29 December 2022, however due to illness we had to cancel.  Thinking we had lost our opportunity and monies paid, Woodland Waters honoured our booking and transferred to 2 - 5 March 2023.  What made is so Peaceful & Relaxing?

1. The Woodland Waters Staff for honouring our original booking, the welcome we all received and the superb plots allocated overlooking the lake. 
2. Woodys Bar and Lakeview Restaurant provided a great atmosphere for the afternoon drinks to meet others and enjoy some great food.  The bar also permitted dogs, so they were not left out.
3. The lake walks - having suffered with CoVID-19 a few times, the early morning lake walks with my two kids (Harley and Freddie (dogs) was peaceful and relaxing, stopping to talk to the anglers, listening to the wood peckers and tranquillity of the lakes.

Stayed at Woodland Warers for the second time in No 5 chalet. Lovely room, quiet location and beautiful lakes to walk around. Used the bar area in the evening to watch the football.

Lovely stay

This our third time caravanning here, lovely experience once again, peaceful fiashing, beautiful dog walks. Went to woodys bar this evening and the food was delightful, that was 5 of us dining with 2 courses each. No complaints from us at all and look forward to returning soon. 

Amazing place for a break.

Really lovely facilities. Nice Clubhouse. Lovely scenery. Good price. will be back again. We went in our camper van and there was loads of electric and running water. very secure campsite. just a great coupe of days.

We’ve been visiting Woodland for 6 yrs and have loved it every time. We’ve stayed in the new lodges with a hot tub but our preference are the lake view lodges. They’re a little dated but very comfortable with lots of room and ideal if you have dogs. Waking up to the sound of ducks and geese waddling around is wonderful. I’ve taken books and never read them, just sat and watched the water on the lake….hypnotic! Can’t wait to go back

Wonderfully peaceful and relaxing

This is a review about the campsite so can't really comment on the lodges.
Just had a fantastic  weekend away here, when we got there the lady at check in was super friendly, we explained  that our friends would be arriving  late and she said that was no problem at all, we had a lakeside view hardstanding pitch which was more than big enough for our motorhome and awning and the view was beautiful, the site itself is excellent, really nice to walk around the lakes and in the woods, it's got a really nice relaxed vibe about it. The facilities were all good, nice pub that also does food. Definitely  one of the best sites we've stayed on, already planning on when to go back. As mentioned on their website they do have functions sometimes in the evening, wasn't a problem for us as we were out of earshot but did seem a bit loud nearer  the pub, all good if you stay up a bit late but probably a good idea to book further away from the pub if you're with kids or like to go to bed early.
