Stayed here one night on our last day of walking the Loch Lomond and Cowal Way. It was a very long and wet day and we were very glad to get out of our wet clothes and boots and into the powerful,. hot shower. The rooms were nice, spotless and effort ha obviously been made in refurbishing them within recent times.

After the shower we headed for the bar to celebrate the end of the walk with a couple of pints of foaming ale. The bar was surprisingly busy for the early(ish) hour but the atmosphere was good.

From there we repaired to the restaurant which again was busy, but the service was speedy and efficient. We all had fish and chips which was a generous portion and well cooked,

Breakfast was also good and we appreciated the very nice that my walking buddy's partner who was to collect us from Arrochar for the homeward journey, asked to stay overnight with her rather than drive up early the following morning. The management allowed this even though it hadn't originally been booked for him - and didn't charge any more for the room or the extra breakfast. Very generous, especially given the challenges currently being faced by the hospitality sector.

All in all, a good stay and would happily return.

Haven at the end of a long walk

Stayed here on our way up to Caithness. What a fantastic place. I couldn’t believe the view out from the front. Loch Long & the Mountains beyond. The hotel itself is fantastic. The staff are friendly & welcoming. The room was lovely, clean & spacious. All of a high standard. The evening Meal was very good, lamb was so good. Breakfast was awesome & set us up for a long drive up through the Highlands to Caithness.

Great place to stay

We went to this pub twice on one of the bus trips with caledonian  for the weekend and we loved the place , staff were lovely , and they put the rugby on for us when we had a meal there . The food was amazing , my partner had a haggis burger and said it was gorgeous . I had the skin on fries and they were lovely as well. we’d definitely go back as it was a lovely welcoming place.

My family and I diner here; it was so great we  kept coming back for more! This fabulous Inn served us mouthwatering food in a beautiful setting. The staff and service were impeccable. Particular thanks to Alex for lending us her knowledge of whisky!

A must visit! 

Fabulous stay with friends for a birthday celebration. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful! The room was super clean and warm with the most comfortable bed! We didn’t have dinner but the menu looked amazing, and the Scottish  breakfast was delicious! What a great hotel in a truly beautiful location.

Great hotel in a beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay here with 2 other couples for New Year’s Eve . We had the gala dinner which was lovely and very substantial. I am coeliac and they provided gluten free options for me which were great. 
The views were breathtaking and the staff very friendly and helpful especially Tara and Jonny and James the boss Thank you everyone for making our stay so fabulous

Beautiful hotel breathtaking views

Great traditional bar and pub restaurant. The bar offered 3 real ales from Fyne Ales, served by a very friendly and knowledgeable barmaid. The restaurant offers a traditional pub menu and, again, the servers were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Perfect place to refresh after a day walking on the Three Lochs Way. 

A "must visit" when hiking on the Three Lochs Way.

Lovely meal in a beautiful setting! Our waitress Alix couldn’t do enough for us and took the time to explain some of the dishes on the menu.
Will definitely return on our way to Inveraray next summer.

Lovely experience 

Our stay was really great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast, which was delicious. The restaurant an pub have a nice atmosphere and I really liked the charming interior of our room with bath tub. Thank you very much! 

Nice hotel with pub and charming interior 

We purchased this through an itison voucher where we were given DB&B and a bottle of prosecco all for £99. At the time of booking we payed extra to upgrade to a superior from room for an extra £15. Value for money this was an outstanding deal where we had a spacious room with everything you require, a large smart TV and a table and 2 chairs at the window giving fantastic loch views. Staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was a bother. When it came to dinner we had a specific menu to choose from as it was a voucher which had 4 starters, 4 mains, and 4 desserts to choose from....all choices were great. We specifically choose the calamari starter along with the Mac n Cheese main....outstanding. 

Breakfast for us was 9am where we had a choice of cereals. juices, yogurts etc before they took your main order. Full Scottish breakfast was the choice and there was more than enough on this plate to last you the day. Plenty of tea/coffee was available all served in a very relaxed setting.

We have booked again for May again in another Superior room as we enjoyed ourselves so much we wanted to experience the Village Inn once more. Even if you're not looking to stay overnight it has a fantastic lunch menu in a cosy bar  with a fabulous selection of drinks....give it a go you wont be disapointed.
