A bit shabby, football and sports loving public. Theme of the inn: no internetting but drinking. Bed was OK, shower was OK. The pretty lady of bar and reception was (a bit :-)  ) drunk, but she was really hardcore: she pomissed to be serving the breakfest in the morning and she did. Got a lof of cookies from her.
Don's go to this inn if you don't like to be surpised in whatever way. For me it was a pleasure.

a real inn for sports lovers and drinkers

Awaiting the reopening of the lounge/bar.  Posters stated open at 2 karaoke from 7.  

Firstly got there after 7. No karaoke. Was told starts at 9.  Asked for baileys - no baileys.  Asked for ice - no ice.  Asked for sliced lemon /lime - guess what - none.

Nothing was any different.  Paint chipped off the walls.  Tables still all scratched. Sat in a booth and the seat slid forward. Under neath was full of rubbish. Straws /beer mats etc.  

Ladies toilets - 3 cubicles - one had broken lock.  The locks were filthy. Only needed to be cleaned.   

Come 9 o’clock there was still no karaoke.   There was dogs upon the seats.   

Avoid like the plague - really not worth the visit ........ so much for the new management !!!!!!

 

Day of reopening - should stay shut

This is the most horrible hotel I have ever stayed in Not only is it unclean , smelly and unsafe The one member of staff was unfriendly and did not care at all about the guests or the state of the hotel The rooms were absolutley filthy and smelly,  cold and the en suite was full of green black mould we tried to find alternative acconadation locally but there was no availability seriously can not understand how this hovel is still trading DO NOT STAY HERE ITS AWFUL KEEP DRIVING !!!

AVOID DISGUSTING

Booked via booking.com and didn't read the reviews. The hotel is in need of a visit from the hotel inspector who would have a field day. Rooms are disgusting, cleanliness is a word they have not heard of. Pretty much didn't use the en-suite for the two days were there. Downstairs toilets just as bad. Avoid this hotel and pay a little extra for a better one

Avoid like the plague

I thought places like this no longer existed. An appallingly bad place with no redeeming features. Badly in need of a refurb, stodgy food, surly bar staff, and unwelcoming locals who go out their way to make it clear your presence is not appreciated. It makes a mockery of Highland Hospitality. But no one in the hotel or bar, staff or regulars, will care!
