Not the first time we have visited 'The Lion'  and certainly not the last!! Spotlessly clean room, in an inviting setting. Great food by Matthew. The staff were so helpful.Had a lovely walk up to the Manor

lovely room, great food staff were lovely, couldnt be better.  I was in one of the annex rooms and it was spacious. Clean and comfortable.  I arrived late but the staff were great about getting me into dinner asap so I could eat

Lovely hotel.  Clean, tidy and food was great.  They couldn’t do enough for us.  Rooms are bright, large and airy with lots of nice little extras.  So nice to have a large full sized mirror, especially when going to a wedding.  Highly recommend this great find

Great hotel

We were the wedding DJs at The Lion in Waddesdon for Nicola and Russel. The wedding disco was held in a marquee on the grounds and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Aylesbury area then make sure you check out The Lion!

Good stay with a tasty breakfast included. Very friendly staff who made me feel welcome and helped me to arrange a local cab. Room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and have everything needed. Only improvement I would suggest is some better noise isolation as quite a bit of noise from the pub and main road. But still a good stay, thank you!

Good stay, great staff!

Lovely pub, staff and accommodation. Room had everything we required and was very clean. We were visiting Waddesdon Manor which is a pleasant short walk away. Our breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast was perfectly cooked. and there was a good selection. Sometimes the coffee can be a let down in places but not here as our cappuccinos were large and full of coffee not froth.  Would highly recommend a stay here if visiting, Fully worth the price.

Simply  excellent, from the warm welcome  to the cheery  goodbye.
A family run gem,that believes and delivers the highest standards. 
Good car parking in a convenient location,on the A40.
A stone's throw away from Waddesdon Manor.
We had the well thought out disabled  kitted out twin room, in the Courtyard.A cold wet day,but bright ,clean and cosy.
Restaurent,simple, delicious,beautifully presented ,locally sourced food. 
A hearty breakfast.
Nothing,simply nothing,not to like yes honestly.

room was clean and comfortable, food in the pub was good and the breakfast was cooked to order, not something one usually gets in a hotel these days.  the taff were welcoming and helpful. I stayed in one of the annex rooms and although I usually avoid pubs, because of the noise, I was pleasantly surprised as the room was quiet and although the hotel was busy I didn't hear any other guests.

excellent little gem

Passing through Waddesdon  and saw the Red Lion and popped in to have something to eat and drink. The welcome was friendly. The food was fantastic. The price’s were reasonable. I would recommend the Red Lion to all my friends and family.
