Very clean hotel, room was modern and clean.  Bed and pillows very comfortable. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower.  Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help you.  We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good value and plenty of choice.  Very good and accommodating for children re meals and fresh milk.  Excellent location and handy to park as plenty of room.

First class stay

Stayed here for one night just for a short break around Ayr. Booked before we realised Golf at Troon was starting
and got a room for a good price. Had booked the new style evolution plus room to compare it to the normal evolution standard room we had tried elsewhere to compare the difference.
Staff were all very pleasant and engaging. Our room was very small though. Probably one of the smallest premier inn rooms I’ve been in. Probably fine for a single person but as a couple we kept getting in each others way. The shower room was tiny but had a nice shower. This hotel only has showers so wouldn’t necessary be my choice again as I always prefer a bath. Room decor is nice but the new style reigns in surface space. It’s nice having comfy chairs and a little table though. I’d probably opt for a normal room in future as I don’t think the little extras make much of a difference for the price. Don’t like the corridors with fragrance. The windows open which I like. 
The hotel itself is a bit more isolated than I thought it might be but easy to access from the main roads, car parking was free and plentiful. Chose a meal deal due to the location. The only problem is that for me there are not many options on the menu I would choose and having stayed at many premier inns recently the food is a little repetitive but it’s ok. Breakfast is just something it’s there and not necessary what I would choose for a breakfast out. I don’t drink tea or coffee and there’s no option for say having a hot chocolate for breakfast instead. 
Didn’t like looking out the windows when eating there straight at smokers in the area outside. I believe all the rooms have been refurbished but not the public areas which is a shame as first impressions count and crumbling concrete around the door way and old floor tiling doesn’t give the best look for a place especially as some nights here can be quite expensive due to demand.

Nice enough for a night

Having stayed at many Premier Inns I know what to expect. The room was clean and well maintained and parking and location suited our purpose. The Hotel was fully booked with people going to The Open at Troon. Reception was very functional. Breakfast- the cold items were fine - but the cooked breakfast was poor. Undercooked hash browns, scrambled eggs not refreshed, raw mushrooms and cold tomatoes. We had breakfast early one day and late the next and both times it was poor. After The Open finished there were many people in the bar but no food was available as they had run out of pizzas. The vending machine with snacks was not working.Really not the best experience.

Not as good as it should be for a Premier Inn

Good hotel, very helpful staff. Good choice of food at both breakfast & evening meals. Ample free parking, sliding doors at entrance making it easier for someone like myself having to manure a wheelchair user. Over all, exactly what we would expect from this chain of super hotels.

Another super stay at Premier Inn

Very clean and well presented hotel with very good food. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Plenty secure packing. Have been before will come again. 

Premier Inn, good choice.

Excellent location and value for visiting Ayr and very friendly, accommodating and available staff.
The only negative would be breakfast as it is very poor and not great value. Some of the food was over cooked and inedible.

Good location and value

From the outside, this hotel was far more modern looking than any other Premier Inn I've stayed in. Unfortunately, when it came to the room, it was the complete opposite. It was smallest room I have ever stayed and, annoyingly, the the only room I've stayed in that didn't have any USB power sockets available. 

Only staying for one night, I could put the above. Had I been staying longer, I may have requested a different room.  

It's also worth noting, this hotel was undergoing a refurbishment at the time, so the above may be rectified once this is completed.

Despite the above, I would still be happy to book a room at this hotel, only next time, I'd make sure I brought the plug, as well as the USB cable, to charge my phone.  

The builders were in, that's why...

What a shock. You would be forgiven if you thought this hotel was not a premier inn.
Small old fashioned rooms.
Very basic restaurant and the food is shocking.
I feel sorry for the staff having to work in this what seems like a 1970's hotel.
Food appears to be microwave heated.



Run down hotel 

Exactly at 8AM, on our heads heavy drill machine, and hammering noise started, my whole family thought that someone attacked on the hotel and roof will collapse on our head.
That scary noise didn't end, we left the hotel around 1030.
Very shocked, and unacceptable at all

Stopped here two nights and the hotel is lovely and quiet.  The comfort you can expect from the premier.   We needed a twin room due to medical issues and the rooms are double.  However they happily made up the sofa bed very quickly and it was super comfy too.     Did not eat here as had breakfast in Ayr but would definitely stop here again.
