Lovely place -great food & service - really enjoyed our stay. Room was spacious and comfortable but best part about this place is the cosy bar and fantastic food. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The only  problem is the weight I put on as the food was so good and the generous portions🤣

Lovely place with great food

This was my first time to stay in the Ballintoy area .a very comfortable room in a nice clean and welcoming hotel from check in with Brian to check out the following day everyone I met was very warm and welcoming .the bar food was excellent ,and whilst the bar was very quiet .a Wednesday night in January it could be expected ,I had a few very nice drinks in the company of Vanessa working away behind the bar .

I had lunch at the establishment recently. While the service was prompt and satisfactory, I found the food to be less than appetizing and rather ordinary, certainly not commensurate with the pricing. Additionally, the tables were notably unclean and sticky, including the restroom facilities. Unfortunately, I experienced illness after consuming the meal. I would not recommend this place.

"Critical Evaluation of Dining Experience

We stayed in the apartments which are separate from the main building but only a few steps a way. the rooms were clean, tidy and very comfortable and I ask no more from anywhere we stay. if you're after fancy frills then not for you but a home from home most definitely.   Only criticism would be that the main room always felt colder than the others which had a really cosy heat. 
 We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate a wedding anniversary and the staff were fantastic, friendly, chatty but not in your face and the food was top rate, even had a lovely welcome for us waiting in our room with a fruit platter and some chilled Prosecco,  really enjoyed our time there and will certainly be returning and planning this for May 2024 for a 60th. 
Ballintoy is a great base for those looking to venture around the north coast and the Fullerton Arms was for us a great base camp.
Just sorry we missed the weekend entertainment but,,,,,next time.

This is a great place to stay on the costal causeway route the rooms are modern and comfortable bathrooms are the same modern and clean also important in these months the rooms are warm the staff were all friendly and offered a brilliant service and the breakfast was really good and sets you up for the day also great value for money close to the Carrick-e-rede rope bridge and the harbour only 15 mins from the giants causeway 

Asked to drop bags off early, manager seemed okay to store them as my fiancee and I were going to the fair, from Belfast, and when asked about local eataries he was affronted by the question. Staff seemed hostile towards us, from scathing looks during dinner to even when asking for extra toilet paper. Was laughed at by staff. Cleanliness was superb couldn't fault the food either Louise the other manager was brilliant. Didn't treat us differently than others there. Wouldn't come stay again as we didn't feel welcomed rather spend £145 a night elsewhere.

It's an old, very bright house. If someone knocks on the door next door, you're in bed. You get all the toilet noise from the neighboring rooms. The rooms are just unbearable. 3 stars? never ever. It's basically a pub with rooms. Up to 3 buses are being processed and served every day with packet tourists. But the staff is friendly and the food goes like this. Parking lots are lacking. All in all, a house that wants to turn the proximity to the Giant Causeway into maximum yield. I'm sure not going to come back.

No, not really good.

Room was lovely, really clean and modern. All facilities in good order and super comfortable beds. Room was front facing and when curtains were open there was zero privacy from the road or window’s opposite. Also very noisy pub opposite with drunken shouting and wailing until the early hours of the morning meant we didn’t get a good sleep. Appreciate this isn’t immediately in control of the hotel, but if it’s a regular occurrence then the local constabulary need to be having a word. Feel sorry for locals.

Please be very careful when making a booking to stay at the Fullerton Arms.  In February 2023 I made a reservation for myself and my 90 year old mother (who has reduced mobility) to stay for 4 nights in July and requested an accessible room.  Just 8 days before we were due to stay (over 5 months after the booking was made) I received a telephone call to say that the two ground floor rooms at the Fullerton are also family and pet friendly rooms and that they were unavailable.  I requested a call from the Fullerton’s manager the next day and was told that two groups of friends with pets had booked those rooms together in January, before I made our reservation.  The Fullerton waited over 5 months to tell us this, which meant that we cannot take our much anticipated holiday this year as it is impossible to find a suitable property in the area at such short notice.  The Fullerton did not offer us a goodwill gesture and as returning customers we felt that they didn’t care that their mistake and how they handled the situation has ruined our holiday plans.  So please beware - I would hate to think that the same thing would happen to someone else, particularly to international visitors who have significantly further to travel to the Fullerton than we do.

My family stayed at the Fullerton Arms in June 2023 and had a lovely time. No issue with parking and check-in was easy, though unique in that you had to approach the bar to find help. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent, traditional Irish fare. Dining area is a bit dark, but what can one expect inside such an old building! It was an added benefit to be able to have a drink at the bar in the evening. The room was updated and clean. There is no air conditioning so it became a bit stuffy in the afternoon and evening though opening the window allowed adequate air flow. We Americans are quite intolerant when it comes to lack of AC, but my family slept fine. We only stayed one night and wished we could have had two. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again if we ever make our way back to the Causeway Coast.
