I was hiking the causeway coast & this provided me with a lovely experience to relax in the evening and get a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning.  Michael is a fantastic host, taxis to b&b cheap from ballycastle and can park at house .  As a solo traveller room was really big with both a double ved and a single plus en suite bathroom.   Shower was lovely and warm bed super comfy. 

 The residence is about 90 min walk fron ballycastle and most road has no pavement.  You can book a taxi which costs £10-£11 or its perfect if you have a vehicle.  You will pay alot more in centre of Ballycastle and feel less authentic staying in a B&B there.  Michael recommended Anzac in Ballycastle and that didnt dissapoint  (pic of burger attached).   I plan to stay again next time i hike the coast!

Lovely host, grear value for money!

Teach An Cheoil was such an incredible experience and B&B in Ballyvoy in North Ireland. The hosts teach and play Traditional Irish Music which we got to hear first-hand at their Trad Trail (pub hops with them and others playing Irish tunes).It was very intimate and educational and is obvious how passionate and committed Micheal and Catherine are to bringing Trad Irish Music and Irish language back. They are incredible, giving, people who have an amazing B&B just up the hill from Ballycastle which is an adorable town right on the coast. The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless, and had every amenity needed. Breakfasts were homemade and delicious.The property is surrounded by green rolling hills with sheep which was so unique to see and hear. If you are looking for a true Irish experience, book a stay with Teach An Cheoil. You will truly enjoy your stay!

Teach An Cheoil For a True Irish Experience

We had a great time here! Our host, Micháel, was fantastic, full of wonderful stories and details about the surrounding area. The room was huge, with a large bathroom and a lovely cat to greet us outside. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you have any interest in Irish traditional music or the Irish language. The closest pub is a short drive away. The ONLY downside was that there was very little shelving in the bathroom or shower to hold all our stuff.

A delightful, cozy stay with a wonderful host

Michael welcomes you to his home in the quiet countryside, from where you can see the sea and you can reach many tourist destinations. Very comfortable and well-kept room, great breakfast. The owner is always kind and available.

At the house of a musician and poet

Beautiful place, immersed in the green hills and the most total tranquility; a few kilometers from Fair Head and even less from the city. The owner is a very kind and friendly person (as well as a musician and poet) and everyone here makes you feel like you are part of the family. Very large rooms with private bathroom, very comfortable and clean.

Absolutely recommended; wonderful welcome, peace and tranquility

We truly enjoyed our stay at Catherine and Michael's home stay. It was quiet with some lovely musical moments in the morning. The breakfast was also very nice and nourishing! Make sure you have their phone number before coming, as it is not on a main road and perhaps not as easily found as other b&b..

Lovely stay

Lovely, very friendly b+b in the country.
Owners are very knowledgeable and are full of reccomendations for anything you can think of. 
Really recommended.
Easy to find, although it can be easily missed as I found out. 
I wouldn't say it is wheelchair friendly because of the location, off road tracks, and stairs to the property. 
Children are welcome here. 
This place would suit single travelers as well as families. 
The place is clean and fresh, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom clean. 

Lovely b+b in the county 

Although we were at Teach an Cheoil B&B for only one night, it was a great stay in nature. The room has everything you need and Michael and his wife have put in a lot of effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was very tasty and we got great tips for our trip (Kinbane Castle rocks ;-) which we all implemented. The family is really very friendly, if you are interested you can take music and Gaelic lessons with you or browse through Michael's self-written novels.

A vacation like home...

Located just outside the village in a little country lane with beautiful views across the fields to the sea. Stayed two nights in the ground floor room. Room comfortable and a good size with a decent en suite. The owner wasn’t in when we arrived but arranged for the key to be left with a neighbour, which was pretty decent. Lovely breakfast served both days and the host Michael recommended places to eat and visit. If you want to stay in a friendly home then stay here, especially for the peace and quiet. Would certainly visit and stay here again. 

Very friendly 

This is one of the most wonderful places you will stay in Ireland.  Music is everywhere in the house.  So if you want a truly Irish experience with traditional music and language, this is the place.  Great family I can't recommend it enough.
