The Lamp Post Villa Guest House has changed hands and is now called OYO No 3. 

Do not book this property. It is awful. We left after one night of a 3 night booking.  Happy to provide further information as required if anyone wants to send a private message.

Changed ownership. Do not book.

The Lamp Post Villa did not exist when we arrived ,the Owner of the building told us that the previous person running the B&B had left months before. Carmine contacted me and said he'd given the keys back on the 3rd and we arrived 6th July. Carmine was so helpful, even offering to give me the money until I obtained a refund. I think we were being scammed by the owner who insisted we paid him again if we wanted to stay there, the property is now listed as OYO No. 3.

Warned Carmine the Italian fella about security of the hotel warned him a few times about leaving windows open and the office door open absolutely useless at running a B&B no experience whatsoever it's now called number 3 Carmine has now gone back to Italy the hotel had Squatters in for 3 months 🙄

We were so well treated by Carmine that we felt welcomed from check in to check out, when he insisted on driving us to the train station. 
Unfortunately,  he told us that this is his last week there since he has sold the B&B to spend more time with his young son. 

Very welcoming 

Well for us it did exactly what it said on the tin but its fair to say it aint the Ritz We stayed in room 6 The bed was clean and comfortable , the room a decent size and the WIFI connection excellent There was some noise from other guests but bear in mind it is an old building and has creaky floors  Carmine explained on arrival that the breakfast is a basic buffet affair l but I couldn't fault the offerings or maybe my needs are simple? There was filter coffee, tea, four kinds of cereal one being gluten free White and brown bread for toasting with again, a gluten free option Yoghurt, fresh fruit, jams, marmalade, honey, pain au chocolates and cold boiled eggs We had a brilliant stay x

Very Good 

The decor old and tired. It is nicely near the centre of Bath but has no free parking. Breakfast was serve and clear yourself. The choices were limited and the dining room scruffy. Carmine did help sort out WiFi issues but was not there otherwise . There was no blind in the bathroom so we used a towel.  Very comfy bed

With TLC this would be good

Room was very noisy, you could hear all neighbours moving around, talking and opening and closing doors. The room is very small and not very clean, poor breakfast and
a lot of money for what you get,

Just had a lovely weekend away, and stay at the Lamp Post Villa. The room was modern with an ensuite shower, and very comfortable beds. The continental breakfast was included in the price: juice, lovely filter coffee, tea, toast, preserves, croissants, cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruit and set you up for a good start to the day. The location was great, only a 10 minute, pleasant walk to the centre. The b&b offers great value, and the host Carmine was very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Lovely b&b and friendly host

We booked last minute and Carmine the owner was very accommodating and friendly from the onset. The location is perfect about 5/10 minute walk to the town, all tourist attractions very close by. The room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was perfect, and offered vegan options.

Carmine was able to offer advise on different tourist attractions which was really helpful.

Great location and friendly host

Very good stay. Carmine our host looked after so well. Really kind and thoughtful. 
We stayed in a room for 3 with our daughter. Room spacious and comfortable. Also a nice simple breakfast arranged. Perfect location to hang out in the town centre.
