The bedding was full of yellow stains on the pillows and cover. 

And the roof above the bed was filled with pollyfiler and it was crumbling all over the bed. 

I was refused a refund and the owner refused to change my room.

It wasn't the most expensive place but you expect some cleanliness. 

Disgusting hell hole

Soldiers from WW1 would say this place isn't fit for purpose. Entire place looks like its falling apart, staff do NOT seem interested in the slightest, feel like im gonna catch a disease from the showers and the other guests are literally the worst human beings imaginable. I don't care how cheap it is, it's not worth the price.

Cheap rubbish

Hysterically bad, you arrive at a very run down reception and are given a couple of sheets, a duvet and a pillow - all of which look like they have been left in shop doorways by homeless people and collected afterwards for use here.
There are several dormatories I had the luck to stay in one which started with only 4 people and myself in it, but as the night progressed more and more people arrived using torches on mobile phones and clambering around the metal prison style bunk beds which creaked more than a flatulent badgers bum.
A guest came in steaming drunk and vomited all over his bunk, which added to the atmosphere.
Day 2 : some of the folk in the dorm started talking and agreed that this is possibly the worst place to stay ever. We had a laugh and joke about it either and the lad who coated his bed in vomit the previous evening told me he had been drinking with other guests in the communal area and had been offered various drugs including crack (classy)
Privacy is absolutely non existent yet one guest took that a little too far in sleeping with his bits hanging out for all to see, which reminds me I must clean out my sons hamster when I return.
The 2/5 rating is only due to having a laugh with other guests, the site it's self would be an absolute zero.

This place is a death trap, I found it on hostel world app, I paid for 5 nights and only managed 1 night. Light fittings bare wires and hanging from ceiling, planks of wood left sticking out of walls on the floor making it a tripping hazard, brown marks on the quilt, rubbish under the bed from previous occupants, I gave this place one star and this was too much

Never again 

This is a homeless hostel. It is not suitable for normal travellers. I had to leave because there are bed bugs, no heating, men peeing in the bins and sexually aggressive behaviour. One single girl was confronted by a naked man who had blocked the doorway and he was only moved to different dorm. My bank have had to recall the money they took for the nights I didn't stay as the manger there claimed he was unable to do so. I am also complaining to Hostelworld who should not be listing this place.

Do not book here!!

Horrifying! Booked a six-bed room for a girl's night away in Belfast. Arrived home at 3. In the space of fifteen minutes, two gentlemen entered our room on two separate occasions and were verbally abusive and aggressive. These men entered the bedroom despite the door locking (we checked it earlier in the afternoon). They somehow had access to our room codes. The hostel guarantees room door codes are to be changed regularly for the safety of guests. Highly unsafe. We checked out of the hostel at 3:40 am with nowhere to go. We deemed a night on the streets of Belfast to be safer than remaining in the hostel. Truthfully, cannot recommend this hostel purely on the basis of poor security measures, a most basic requirement.

Disgusting 

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Thursday night was a disaster, three Indians don’t belong this room but occupied a bed and chatting until midnight. So many homeless people live in the hostel make the hostel really crowded. But to be fair, the situation on weekend nights is much better. But if you arrive in Belfast on weekdays, just tried another place to live.

Tried to avoid this hostel in weekdays

The worst hostel I’ve stayed in ever, dirty, cramped room (crackhouse vibe) I got the impression many of the residents were semi homeless needing a place to live. No Washing machine as advertised. Just seen their advertising breakfast but didnt see this there. Smoke alarms definitely are not up to spec. On the last night there was a fight between a couple of homeless/residents, one got hit on the head with a guitar and a trail of-blood was still there in the morning. Police were there when I left.

Avoid

I was surprised by how cramped it felt, the general odour of smoke throughout as the smoking area backs onto permanently open window as it's got a wire fixed through. Lockers in bedroom of 6, 2 broken locks, 2 had locks on from previous guests. No curtains on beds as shown in promo photos, nor window, so wake up with the sun! No individual bed lights, but have plug sockets. Shower swaps between burning hot and cold, with a very low flow, I had better rain shower. 

Kitchen basic but good, dining room good. Lounge room gets full sun in morning. 

 With a few repairs  and a bit of love this 
 place would be good. 

Needing repairs and love 

I've stayed in a lot of hostels over the years, some great, others not so great. But I have never checked out of a hostel within 20 minutes of arriving.

The staff were helpful and let me store my bag as I arrived in Belfast early, however when I went back and checked in, I was told that my room was top of the stairs on one side of the hostel but the working bathroom was upstairs on the other side of the building. I walked up 3/4 flights of stairs to a 4 person room that was not particularly clean. My bed was under a skylight which had no blind or cover, and the bed was not comfy. I realised to go to the bathroom I would have to walk back down to ground floor, through reception and then up the other stairs.

I decided not to stay and spent a few minutes looking for alternative accommodation and then checked out. Staff did ask if there was an issue but at that point there was nothing they could have done to make me stay.

The hostel is 15/20 minute walk from City Hall and Europa bus station. It is close to Botanic Gardens and Queens University.
