This is an extremely good value B&B. Lynda is so friendly and helpful, she helped us where to go for our evening meal and even where to park whilst out for the evening. Her local knowledge is immense. Sofa in room, all facilities as stated. Only slight issue for me was the overhead only shower head when I don’t want to wash my hair but everything else was great and as we were travelling on to Edinburgh I simply showered when I got to our destination. Lovely pets if you want to meet them and you wouldn’t know they were there if you don’t. The cats are really pretty and cuddly and the dogs are very well behaved and don’t make a sound! 

Fabulous breakfast - excellent host

what an incredibly lovely place this is! my room overlooked the garden and was really big. great bed, sofa and with loads if artistic features. bathroom had a great power shower and was decorated with quirky things as well. it is located very close to the beach. breakfast is served in the conservatory and loads of art to discover here as well. breakfast was delicious. Lynda is an artistic and very friendly person. she makes great jewellery out of beach finds. could not resist buying some! no negative points? yes, the fact that I have to wait until April to visit again.

This lovely B&B is situated in Spittal, about a mile outside of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The house is deceptively large for a terraced house. We had the large double room at the back overlooking the garden with a large ensuite. The room had a sofa, tea making facilities plus the usual tv, hairdryer etc. Our host was very welcoming and very informative about what to do, where to go and where to eat. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, served in the conservatory by the garden. Our host likes to feed the birds and I never seen so many sparrows and starlings all trying to get onto the bird feeders! She also has lovely cats and dogs. Parking is right outside the front door. Spittal has a community feel, with a school, church, pubs and a few minutes walk from the beach. A very relaxing stay.

Welcoming B&B

What a great find - lovely location, room, food and hostess (Linda). Linda made us feel at home - welcoming, giving us information about the area, introducing us to the other guests at breakfast, even keeping our Champagne cold and lending us 2 glasses so we could celebrate our wedding anniversary. Looking forward to going back ...

Friendly and homely

Arrived on motorcycles soaking wet Lynda took away wet gear and we got it back next morning all dried out- room was comfortable and plenty of tea and coffee. Bed was really comfortable had a good nights sleep awoken by seagulls. Breakfast was hearty and well cooked - really good choice - 

Friendly and helpful 

my wife and I had two lovely nights in this b&b linda made us feel good our room was great it was a half our walk to town but about 10minutes by bus weather was good so we walked breakfast was first class.linda let my wife pick apples and pears from her garden for my wife to use in her baking

great place

Very comfortable. Hostess very friendly. If you are ever in this part of the world I would thoroughly recommend Caroline House. Northumberland is a beautiful part of the world and Caroline House only adds to this

Stayed in ensuite room. Spacious and clean. Friendly, helpful owner.  Three minute walk to beach. Lovely breakfast. Dog was welcomed and even offered some sauagaes at breakfast. Easy parking on Main Street.

Pleasant B&B - dog friendly

The B&B is small but well maintained, clean and cozy. We stayed for a night on our way to Scotland, and we were in the room with private bathroom on the first floor. The room is not very large, but there is everything needed, including the tea and coffee set. The veranda breakfast overlooking the small but lush garden is excellent and plentiful. The lady also helped us choose and book the restaurant for dinner in the village, besides giving us directions on what to see and what to do. Advised!
