We stayed her for nine days in all and we enjoyed every moment.Sheila and Sandy are wonderful hosts.Abbotsford  is in a lovely quiet village just over the Scottish border.Our room was very comfortable and peaceful.Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a good choice.Both hosts  were very helpful with information and we acted on their advice,which resulted in our having really nice days out.We used the pub a few doors down ,which was great.In all it was a great experience and we have no hesitation in recommending this lovely b and b to anybody.We loved it

Wonderful B and B

The guest house is situated in the very pretty village of Norham just a few minutes drive from Berwick uponTweed.
There was a lovely greeting on arrival and Sheila explained about the area and things to do.  The room was very well equipped with all you could need for a comfortable stay.  
The bed was comfy with good quality linen, and the shower was immaculate and very powerful with plenty of hot water.
The room had a box with all sorts of hints and tips on the area and leaflets on local attractions, which I found invaluable.  There was a well stocked hospitality tray and a good sized TV
There was a good choice for breakfast with good quality products beautifully cooked and presented.
There's parking out back for three cars and plenty of parking in front of the guest house.
It was very quiet, with the church bells being the only sound.

Good Choice

Excellent place to stay choice of Breakfast included in the price , Friendly owners , if I am in the area again I will definitely stay here. Room facilities Include tea coffee and biscuits, water cooler. TV in room,  Spacious shower room with toilet and a bonus of the heating on at all times

We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely B&B, for night whilst visiting family in nearby Berwick. The place was spotless, lovely rooms, friendly people, Sandie and Sheila, thank you for the history lesson, and the fact you knew our grandparents "Larry Forman and Mrs Forman (school teacher),made our day, your breakfast was amazing and such a choice, and you had Earl Grey that was 5☆ on its own, we shall definitely return again, the whole visit has been amazing

Great little gem

A very welcoming hostess who couldn't do enough for you.  Room and bathroom spotlessly clean with a very comfy bed.  Breakfast was a delight.  Lots of extras - ice box in the room to keep cold drinks cold and a basket at the top of the stairs fulls of things that you might forget - toothbrush, tooth paste, plasters etc.  So thoughtful.  Extremely good value for money - they could charge twice as much and it would be still good value.  Would definitely stay there again and quite frankly wished I had been able to stay longer than one night.  Thank you so much!

Would stay here again

We spent 2 nights at this B&B and loved it. The room was well equipped with all you need and the beds were super comfy.Sheila not only provides a delicious slap up breakfast with lashings of coffee but she also provides in an in depth history of Norham while you are eating it. She is a raconteur and well worth hearing her stories! Such a lovely place to stay!

Fantastic B&B!

Lovely stay at Abbotsford B&B. Sheila and Sandy are a great team and very knowledgeable about the local area , where to go and places to see and eat.
Fabulous breakfast, immaculately clean and outstanding power shower in the room.
Sheila was fabulous when my partners sciatica flared up and left him unable to leave the room, offering downstairs facilities and help, she was so kind.

Lovely

Stayed for a night in July, for a visit to Norham castle. Was amazed at the very high standard and how professional this B&B is, well done. Shelia the owner and her husband were just so friendly and there to look after guests, The room was great, amazingly comfortable big double bed, en-suite, tea / coffee and even some snacks! the breakfast was just delicious and it was cooked to perfection. The B&B is just along from the Mason's arms public house, where you could have lunches and evening meals and is also just a short walk from the Tweed. JMW Turner was here in the late / early 18th/19th century and you can visit the place on the river bank where he painted one of his many pictures of Norham castle. Thank you for a pleasant stay! Highly recommended. 5 star experience.

Fantastic friendly place to stay!

Truly a gem of a place! We stayed for 2 nights and our room was on the ground floor. The place is very clean and well kept. All the Covid-19 hygiene measures were in place and we all felt very safe during our stay!

Our ensuite room was very spacious for a family of three. The beds (double & single-air bed) were comfortable and the room had everything we needed from TV, hair dryer, alarm etc. In our room, we had a kettle with tea & coffee making facilities, biscuits and water bottles, which were topped up daily. Ample parking spaces available both on the front and back side of the house. The place is easily accessible and caters to the needs of people with disabilities (bathroom on ground floor was recently redesigned by the hosts to make it accessible).

The morning breakfasts were great and all the jams/preserves were hand made by Sheila. Our hosts were very knowledgeable and told us interesting facts about Norham Castle. Sheila also guided us what to do during our coastal trip and crossing times for Holy Island. She also arranged for books and a doll house for our daughter to play with during our stay.

Thank you Sheila and Sandy for an excellent experience. We will be back for sure!

Beautiful B & B and perfect hosts!

Lovely B&B in a quiet village with everything that you need and more. The owners are very nice and so, so helpful, the breakfast is just delicious and there is plenty of options to choose from. We stayed there for 3 nights as a starting point for our cycling trips and it was just a perfect place. Many thanks to Sheila and Sandy for extra tips on where to find some nice places to visit in the area. If we are going to be in the area again we'll definitely be staying there!
