A good place to arrive after a day’s walk on St Cuthbert’s Way, resting before walking on the sand over to Lindisfarne. The room was clean and large with a fire place. At night you could go to the kitchen and help yourself to toast and marmelade! The hostess gave good advice on when to walk paying attention to the tide and informed us about the bus timetable for leaving Lindisfarne. A nice breakfast the next morning. A perfect stay.

Perfect!

My daughter and I walked unsteadily and gratefully into Fenwick and rang the Rogersons for a pick up. The Delightful Fred came, and he could not have been kinder or helpful. Anne drove us to the Lindisfarne Inn for dinner at night and Fred picked us up. Always kind.
Our room, was massive. Seperate area, with our own bathroom, huge bedroom. Warm and dry. 
The next day we had to leave super early to catch the low tide to Lindisfarne Island and it was no problem for Anne with our breakfasts.
Lovely lovely generous people and I thank them very much. Do stay, a home away from home.

One of the kindest people one could meet

This is run by a nice lady Anne Rogerson who cannot be more helpful, the rooms are very clean and the breakfasts are good with a choice. Brock Mill is great for access to Holy Island, for Twitchers the causeway area is superb.

Sixth Visit

This was our first time in the North East and we had decided to stay at a B&B rather than a hotel. After a fairly tiring 250 mile journey we arrived and were met by Anne and her two dogs (labradors).
Anne was very welcoming, giving us tips about where to eat and recommending places to visit.
As we were only in the area to see Lindisfarne (Holy Island) this was really useful.
We were shown our room which was rather 'chintzy'. Nothing wrong with that. The beds were comfortable, the shower spot-on and in the morning the breakfast was superb.
Not a lot else to say, really.
This is how a B&B should be!
p.s. the B&B does not have a golf course but the owners own one nearby!

Lovely host and a really nice stay

This is a real find.  A lovely old farmhouse with spacious rooms, a sitting area and even a kitchen for guests use! Beware that the drive is nearly a mile long if you are walking there. A great welcome and Anne collected us from the St. Cuthberts Way Walk, took us and collected us from the pub at night, and then drove us to the causeway to Holy Island the next morning. In a tranquil setting surrounded by farmland a real escape from it all.  Highly recommended.

Excellent stay

Had a super 4 night stay here. Annie made us most welcome. A lovely room with large private bathroom next door to our room but not technically en-suite as had to go onto landing to gain access. A minor point on an otherwise wonderful stay. A homely atmosphere and lovely breakfast shared with the other guests which was great to share stories of places visited. A great location for holy island, Bamborough and Seahouses, from where cruises to the farne islands run. Would thoroughly recommend 

Lovely b & b in stunning location 

This old farmhouse is very conveniently situated for visiting Holy Island and Lindisfarne in a rural area where there are few other hostelries. It caters for only 6 people but there is a small caravan park that is part of the business. There is a parking area and a pretty garden. The interior decoration is quite dated and bathrooms are not ensuite, but it is all very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is freshly cooked and served at a table for all 6 guests, which encourages interesting conversations. 
We were offered tea or coffee on arrival by our sociable host, which was a nice bonus.

Traditional farm house B&B with nice hosts.

Basic B&B but clean with good breakfast and located well; we return because we think it is great. Ideal for Holy Island and for touring Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Great dinner at Lowick, just 3 miles away.

Our Fourth Visit

Stayed here while walking the coast. Very welcoming and friendly B and B . Clean and well equipped. Best breakfast of the trip with delicious scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Our room was nice and cool despite the hot weather.Gave 5 stars as for the money was excellent value.
