We had a lovely 3-night stay, and greatly enjoyed the tranquil & beautiful surroundings of the B&B. Our room was spacious and bright, the breakfasts were delicious (and generous!), and Marie made sure we always had everything we needed.
The location was fabulous to be able to get out and do the coastal path walk from Aberporth; there are so many great pubs and cafes nearby and plenty that do vegan options too. We had a really tasty evening meal one night at the B&B too, can definitely recommend that option.

Restful stay in beautiful surroundings

I spent 3 wonderful days at this lovely home. The owners were welcoming and everything I needed catered for, they couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast was amazing, locally sourced fresh food and such a choice. The walks around were a delight and the dog and I had such a marvellous time wandering the old drovers roads.I can thoroughly recommend it

An absolutely charming secluded wonderful place

My Husband and I had the best 4 days at this amazing place.  The Welcome was warm and friendly and the house is marvellous.

Marie is an amazing cook and made 3 gorgeous vegan evening meals for us.  Rose made a beautiful moist  cake with raspberries and hazelnuts.. Stunning. 

The breakfast each morning offered fresh bread fresh fruit and beautifully made summer porridge with fresh apple and apple juice.  This was standard and you could also have a cooked vegan or vegetarian breakfast. Our vegan cooked breakfast was wonderful.

Marie & Rose are amazing hosts who draw you in and make you feel like mates without being pushy or over bearing.. A fantastic place.. We are already planning our next stay.

Peaceful Beautiful Amazing

What an incredible place this is! Marie is absolutely wonderful and made such lovely breakfasts. The whole place was just majestical and beautiful, set in acres of the glorious Welsh countryside and close to the quirky town of Cardigan. We had the Japanese room and it was unlike anything we’ve ever stayed in before. The bed was massive and very comfortable and Marie was super accommodating and provided an extra bed for our kids. The room is so huge and comfy and I could have spent days staring out of the huge, stunning window! There were lovely touches around the place including a library stocked with books and games, a piano when you walk into the place and a gorgeous silver tabby cat called Ackee who roams the grounds and who we all instantly fell in love with. Fresh fruit and vegetables are grown on the grounds and used to make their fabulous Foxhill jams and chutneys, some of the best preserves we’ve ever tasted! Over the Rainbow is a very eco-friendly place and even has a little recycling station outside the rooms. Highly recommend this very lovely and special place! 

Incredible place!  

I'm not surprised this is used as a retreat! Everything from the welcome to the amazing bird song makes Over the Rainbow a special place to unwind & relax, we felt like part of the family by the end of our stay. The room was luxurious & comfy & unlike previous reviewer we loved the fact that there was no fussing around changing beds & towels every day (much better for the environment). While at the same time nothing was too much trouble for Marie, you only had to ask!
Vegetarian breakfast & supper (over weekend) were a delight.  Not to forget their Fox Hill preserves, no one should without a jar (or 12😋). Thank you Marie & Rose for our memorable stay! We will be back😎

Such a special place run by two special women.

My family and I spent 4 nights at Over the Rainbow. Slightly off the beaten track and therefore tranquil but close to Cardigan Bay and Newquay, we had a great base for days out. The lovely hosts were kind and attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Great discussions at the breakfast table were had with fellow guests!
Excellent breakfasts each day with Jams and marmalades made on site,  we will be back to stay in the Japanese room! Thank you for your warmth, attentiveness and tour of your grounds, that went above and beyond! This is a must stay if you are in this part of Wales!!

Amazing tranquil location with a warm and kind hosts!

The silence is deafening - pure air - open skies - good breakfast - sweet dreams. You would think a place of dreams and so it was except for a few small hiccups. Was it an oversight that our wonderful room was not serviced during our stay ? Bins left unemptied ? Tea not replenished cups not refreshed ? Towels not checked ? Maybe it is the way they operate so maybe I am over critical but this isn't a cheap b&b and expectations are therefore higher. Apart from that a relaxing comfortable few days in what could be a truly wonderful experience.

Sound of silence with a few oddities

You walk in the front door and feel at home.

What a warm welcome

Spent three nights at Over the Rainbow. Couldn't have hoped for more: a beautiful and peaceful location away from noise and rush, local organic vegan food, comfortable room and an amazing library! Was well looked after by Marie and felt really at home! Absolutely loved the sustainable eco-house! If you want peace and quiet as well as nourishment for your body and soul, then Over the Rainbow is the right place. If you're after a more active holiday, then there is lots to do. Cardigan is a nice place to visit with its beautiful Castle and nature walks. Absolutely recommend the train from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge. Such an amazing trip with fantastic views over the Vale of Rheidol. There are dolphin spotting boat trips, a honey farm, beautiful gardens and much more! Hoping to come again soon!

Beautiful mini holiday!

A weekend spent with friends at Over the Rainbow.  Warm, welcoming  and full of character. The owners were attentive without being intrusive.  Nothing was too much trouble. Several acres of grounds to explore and nearby beaches. I think the accomodation suits both the lazy weekender like myself who may just want to have a stroll locally then return to have coffee and biscuits around a roaring wood burning stove and also those more active who want to explore further afield.  Thank you Marie and Rose for making us feel so welcomed.
