We arrived to this rural place for three nights , the views are amazing and roll out as far as you can see.
We were  greeted by Anita a lovely lady with tea and homemade cake ! 
Our room was clean , lovely size and comfy bed . Ensuite was great with Cole & Son toiletries .
There was s tray of fresh water/ coffee / tea a great touch.
Breakfast we could not fault / with homemade bread / jam /marmalade with a menu for hot breakfast which is not to much trouble .
On returning from our walks or day outs Anita would greet us again with tea and homemade cakes .
Would recommend and will stay here again if ever back in the area / a great base in this lovely countryside.

Excellent Three Night Stay

This B&B could not be faulted in any way. Anita the owner treated us like family. We spent 4 days here while touring the area. The food was awesome. Mostly home made or sourced locally. Award winning home made jams and delightful home made bread. Fresh berries from the garden for breakfast. Beautifully appointed rooms topped off the whole experience for a couple of wandering Aussies.

Bed and breakfast accommodation

This B&B is so much more than a B&B. The location is in the scenically beautiful Wear Valley and is easily located. Anita made us so welcome with afternoon tea of homemade cakes and we felt right at home. The accommodation is first class with a separate entrance, seating outside on the patio, the bedrooms are beautifully furnished and everything is provided eg., tea, coffee biscuits etc. The bathrooms again are lovely and the body washes, shampoos etc., are quality products.
Views from the windows over the garden and across the valley were a joy. Absolutely the best.

What a wonderful B&B.  it really was perfect.  To list some of the elements that made it so:
- A genuine warm welcome with tea and delicious home-made cakes
- comfortable room, compact but well-designed with a lovely shower room.  Tea etc., biscuits and fresh milk.
- an impressive breakfast menu, with everything you could possibly ask for.  Eggs from the hens outside, local produce, home-made jams, home made bread,  in addition to the usual cereals, prepared fresh fruit, yoghurts.
- a wonderful location, with stunning views over the lovely countryside and a very pretty garden.
- most important, Anita obviously genuinely cares that her guests are happy.  We were well looked-after, including drying out our soaking clothes after getting caught out in a thunderstorm!

A very special place,  We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if we are back in this area to walk in the North Pennines.

Perfection

Lovely, peaceful location.  Our room was spotless and very comfy with fabulous view. The breakfast was great, homemade bread, jam and marmalade (as well as the full English option).  Anita the owner was very helpful and a lovely lady. My only regret was that I forgot to buy some of the marmalade and jam to take home.
