Lovely little B&B, we stayed for 1 night while attending a wedding. The hostess couldn't do enough for us. The room was basic but clean. The home cooked breakfast is definitely worth it. Parking is not great, we parked on a small car park a few streets away, but we will be back again. 

Nice little B&B

We were really quite disappointed. We were allocated room 16 which was very small and in need of a makeover. Our biggest complaint is the mattress which was very old and uncomfortable with many protruding springs. There was no bedside lamp and there was no remote control or manual controls for the very small TV, which was therefore unwatchable. The en suite was reasonable. 
The host was very friendly and accommodating with breakfast, but whilst it was described as free on the website a cooked breakfast was additional cost.
We won't be returning but Vicky is very nice

Disappointing 

Stayed there last night, extremely clean and Vicky was a lovely hostess. Such a nice person, the room we stayed in was number 18 nice hot shower and the towels where great quality  breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable all in all really enjoyable stay 

One night stay 

Given that there are a LOT of places to stay in Blackpool, many of which are of questionable quality, this was a lovely surprise. The first room we were given was too small and quite cold, but after having a word with the owner, we were moved to a much nicer room, larger, warmer and very pretty. I was very happy with this one and would choose it again next time we stay. My partner and son both had the cooked breakfast, which was an additional £7 but both said it was excellent. Quite a handy location, clean and adequate furniture, bed was comfy enough, friendly staff and the owner was lovely. Would definitely recommend and we will certainly choose it again for our next visit.

Nice surprise

I am going to start off the review with the good things about this hotel, room had everything you needed for a stay, it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good, however it was very dated, the tables at breakfast where too close together, instead of asking what you wanted for your breakfast the just gave us a full English breakfast of which I left the sausage and black pudding as I don't like them, but what I ate was fine, just see it as a waste for the hotel to throw food away.
When we arrived home my friend who booked our room got in touch with me to say she had received a text to say our room was missing a lamp and had we accidentally packed it... I was furious as if I would take a lamp from a hotel. it actually only had one bedside lamp my husbands side did not have one. So for for this reason I would never return, left a very bad taste and she did not act professionally

Rooms are spotless, very cosy and the beds are super comfy. Hair dryer in room with tea and coffee facilities. Owner Vicky is lovely and goes above and beyond to make sure her visitors are happy. Continental breakfast included which had plenty of cereal, toast and jams to choose from. Full English for £7 which looked great however we opted for the continental included in the room price. Plenty of free parking opposite but this is a first come first serve basis. Will defiantly be back. Felt so welcome!

Lovely place and fantastic owner.

Hi yes me and my partner stayed three nights,the owners hadnt fixed window on previous review which said it broken and wont shut ,half blinds missing in one window,no heating and owners next day said someone stole gas meter,knowin this and knowin we had booked in didnt put heaters in room,beddin was double quilt cover and single quilt inside, shower leaked,had to ask painter to help  us shut window from outside,tes they gave ua free breakfast,but room hadbt been cleaned in months and month,so no worth the money wont go back and other people said about state of place when trevor slated them ???not professionaland the male cleaner stank of booze  so we cleaned flat ourselves

Not worth the money

This was a truly wonderful place to stay and made especially great by the friendly and charming hosts Trevor and Walters.
They were both attentive to your needs and accommodating despite these difficult times.
At the time we stayed there was a genuine fear that the hotel may well have to close due to the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent tier restrictions. This would be a total disaster as this is a place where one can relax and enjoy the hospitality of a super double act.
The breakfast was also delicious and you never felt that restrictions were placed on the menu (No pun intended!) so you could fully enjoy the full English breakfast delight.
Trevor in particularly has a number of very interesting stories to tell which we were glad and happy to listen to about his journey to Blackpool.
If ever we are in Blackpool again we will be sure to stay at The Riversvale B & B - 
Hoping with fingers and toes that it does not become a victim of the current climate.

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast

When you find a real diamond you treasure it. Trevor and Walter are superb hosts. the place is spotless and the breakfast to die for. We cannot recommend The Riversvale high enough. Superb. So sad that the B and B's are struggling so much through the pandemic. Here's one we will highly recommend to help it survive.

A GEM

Only stayed one night and that was to much had one family room and a single room for myself family room had notice on window do not touch as it will fall in garden single room hooks on bathroom door were hanging off  very small trivial things main complaint had no heating in both rooms and having rung the gentleman three rings said he had checked it was on maybe if he had checked our rooms he would have seen it wasnot and then proceeds when we wrote abad review he called us miserable people and liars and we would not be welcome back  guess what would not return if you paid me to.
