This hotel should be called the worst Best Western Blackpool.  I have stayed at 3 Best Western Hotels and this is definitely  the worst one.  The room was tiny and not up to standard  and the food was adequate at best.  The staff were  very good but the general conditions of the hotel let them down.

Got to the blackpool to discover it had closed and the owner had done a runner absolutely gutted luckily enough the new oxford took us in at a cheaper price and we had the best time there so thankyou hayley and Ricky for making our blackpool trip a happy one

OMG, I wish I'd read all these reviews before I'd booked!
In summary, forced to pay in cash in full up front, curtain rail fell off the wall, blocked toilet, sewerage up through the shower, rude staff, awful breakfast, urine stained toilet seat, no wardrobe, room never serviced and no one ever around to complain to! Avoid this pace at all costs! 
Totally disappointing experience we had staying at The Blackpool!
Upon arrival, we were told we had to pay the full £170 balance in cash up front before we could get the key! (Despite confirmation saying cash or card). We were then told our booking didn't include breakfast and I had to find the email to prove it did!
The room was spacious and the bed comfortable but the next morning when I tried to draw the curtains 
the rail fell off the wall, 
then the toilet blocked, 
the bathroom floor flooded
and sewage came up in the shower! 
We reported this, received no apology. We were then told we'd have to wait until the end of breakfast time before we could be shown another room! I asked to use another toilet and was directed to one downstairs. The seat was up when I went in and it was caked in urine stains under the seat! Eugh!!
That evening we were moved to another room which was also spacious, but the smoke alarm seemed to be just a base plate! The room had no wardrobe or shelf units, no dressing table or place to sit and do make up or hair, (even the bed was too off set to the mirror so you could only stand or sit on the floor!), just a luggage rack with a few coat hangers on some drawers. The bathroom mirror was no help either as you needed to be about 6ft to have any chance of seeing in it!
Our room was not services at all while we were there and we could never find anyone to speak to.
The scrambled egg at breakfast was a congealed grey mass that you could pick up with your fork in one go, so despite having paid for breakfast, we quickly gave up with it and resorted to just buying it ourselves at Gregs.
Once home, after no response to two emails, I called Andy the Manager to ask for a partial refund because of all the problems. He refused!! He told me it wasn't his fault the toilet blocked or that they wouldn't take card payments, and as for servicing the room they would "only have straightened up the room and replaced the tea and coffee sachets anyway".
It's a shame because the place has lots of potential. The new owners are clearly spending money trying to refurbish what is currently a very run down, dingy, dirty and neglected property, however judging by the rude responses to some of the feedback comments, no amount of refurbishment will help until they stop trying to blame the customers and start taking responsibility for the problems.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

I just want to say thank you, 18 of us staying for the weekend for my friends birthday. The hosts were superb and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. 
Rooms were great, fresh crisp linen, great time had by all in the downstairs bar! 

We will all return, whether as a group or individually, again thank you.

Brilliant weekend

Very unprofessional.Absolute terrible service.horrible mardy people . we asked for our room to be cleaned as on arrival it was filthy and as they insisted on saying we” clearly weren’t happy “ we’re forced  to leave with our 4 children including a baby at late evening .Quite clearly not hoteliers, Sadly there wasn’t a option for 0 stars so even more upset ! 😕 As we discussed our rooms with each other they breeched confidentiality and invasion of privacy by stating that they had stood outside our door and listened to what we had been saying .and when we challenged them on the photos that had been shown on the website , not reflecting the rooms we had been in she told us that must had been a different room. Also it didn’t t seem like anyone else was in the hotel as all hotel keys were on a big ring . DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL 😡 .

5. Shower trickled slower than you could piss 
6. Chewing gum stamped into carpet 
7. Loose shelf above bathroom sink

9. Mattress as thick as a towel 
10.unstable creaky bed 
And a find fair well by the female hotelier  “GET OUT OF MY HOTEL” as she slammed the door in our faces .

We stayed here last couple weeks, lovely stay! Definitely recommend!!!! The room service took some time to arrive but it was definitely worthy the wait! We will certainly be coming back, loved this hotel

Extraordinary

We stay here for a few nights, it was fantastic. Candice and Andy where brilliant hosts where very chatty. The full English is amazing and rooms are warm and cosy which made our stay even better. Thanks Candice and Andy!

Family holiday

We stayed here on a trip to the illuminations . We haven’t stayed at the hotel before , but came across it due to location. The hotel looks really nice from the outside . Our family room was really pacifist and nicely decorated. We had a lovely stay . We would stay again .

Stayed at The Blackpool with my fiancée for a weekend. We have usually stayed near the football ground however had the hotel recommended to us. Owners are spot on, hotel is near to pubs and clubs. Good value for money, can’t fault it really. Would recommend it and will be booking again.

Weekend away

We went to blackpool last weekend of August . Never been to the hotel before . The hotel looked really nice from the outside with nearby parking . Our room had recently been renovated and was really clean and modern . We chose not to have breakfast as we were leaving early but nice to have the option . We would definitely stay again if we were in blackpool .
