Lovely location and lovely staff  our room was a family room over looking the sea it doesn't do breakfast but no problems as went to lites diner which is 3 doors down very homely feel especially when relaxing in the lounge overlooking the sea the price is amazing for location we really enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back thankyou for your hospitality 

Beautiful hotel a must visit came here 3 years ago lovely staff breathtaking location,,,in Blackpool right now wanted to visit again but it’s closed??no wonder why!hope it opens soon PS:Cleanliness was spot on

Had a lovely weekend with hotel athol, very pleasant staff, breakfast is amazing, the kitchen staff are all lovely and friendly and work very hard, how on earth people moan about the breakfast is beyond me, there is everything from cooked breakfast to cereals and toast, thank you for an enjoyable stay

Weekend getaway

Prior to our last minute booking, I had to call the hotel to make a request. This was dealt with promptly and efficiently by a young man with a transatlantic accent.

On arrival, we were greeted by that young man, a delightful Canadian guy by the name of Harrison who went out of his way to make our 2 night stay comfortable.

Well, Blackpool is Blackpool and so at a very low cost we hit precisely what we expected as a room. Basic but very clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble.

I can heartily recommend The Athol for its location, price, comfort and friendliness. We will return. 

Little diamond 

Stayed in the Sea View twin room, was clean and tidy nice, nice view in the day and of the evening with the lights. The manager went above and beyond to support where he could very friendly and welcoming!

Booked for 2 nights  with partner,aunt and uncle,rooms were clean,beds comfortable, shower was good,plenty of hot water, tea coffee making facilities in room,fan in room, tv and radio,The manger Harris could not have been more helpful,parking spaces too the only thing i could pick as a fault was the overflowing ashtray at entrance to hotel, being a non smoker it was not a good first impression, not withstanding this we had a great time and would book again, thanks for a nice few days

Clean,well placed,varied bar menu,

Nice walm and friendly staff, the hotel is dated the room was clean the bed was took some getting use to as was springy in places.We opted for the Breakfast and for only £5.00 was fantastic and could not fault

We arrived Friday afternoon to this hotel we was greeted by a lovely gentleman who runs the hotel. He was so helpful, talkative, and made you feel at ease straight away with his lovely Canada accent! 
Once we got to our room it was lovely a clean nice and cool ( considering the weather was 39c outside ) lovely condiments and touches in the bathroom. Only thing about the room is theirs only 1plug to charge phones etc, but not hard to buy a small adapter, You get what you pay for and I would stay here again it’s bang on in the middle for everything!!!

Amazing!!

We just stayed there and the sink on the bathroom has a chip In moudly curtains so didn't have a shower place needs a massive update.  The parking is bad a s it'd double parking,  also the guy is very polite the bar needs updating  Ns empty bottles removing like there was a wine glass on the bar for the entire time we was there 

Like stepping back in time to your grans

very moderate hotel  Stayed for 3 days in room 16 very small and a double room 18 both on the ground floor.No wi-fi connection.  Televisions were not tuned in so no television for our 3 day stay. Mattresses in need of replacement. W,C in room 18 very hard to flush. Bar rarely opened unless requested.
Yale number entry to door. one outside door not working. Sad to say a hotel going downhill quickly
