Manager Joe is lovely and our bedding was very clean, white and ironed. There is free parking at this hotel however, the hotel leaves a bit to be desired. Decor needs tidying up, cleaners are 
needed, lightbulbs that work needed in our room as ours just flickered on and off, more toilet roll needed in bathrooms and lastly and most importantly the lift needs to be fixed PLEASE!!! Despite these faults we would stay again as great to use as a base and up the quieter end of Blackpool but has a tram stop right opposite the hotel

Skye Oceans Hotel.

Had the absolute worst stay of my life! Checked in at 4pm after a 3 hour drive, only to be told our room will need “a little clean” as their cleaner “didnt show up” but reading previous reviews they clearly dont have one! The room was a disgrace, sand, tan, mud in bed, no curtains and blinds, makeup wipes everywhere, toilet was vile! Everyone in the hotel had the same problem, one man found used condoms and lube in his room and the staff said “whats wrong with that?”!!! The staff were as useful as a chocolate fire guard. They wouldn’t refund us any money, swap our room or do anything to help. Just told us to get a refund through booking.com. Fire alarm went off at 12:30am, had everyone out of bed for no reason. The doors are so loud when they close it literally sounds like someones breaking your door down. Got woken up to a lady screaming crying asking for help and to be left alone to what sounded like domestic violence. I went out my room to see what was happening, everyone was concerned apart from the staff who couldn’t give a toss! Wouldn’t be surprised if someone ends up dying in this hotel. Tried to have a shower this morning, has no hot water, the shower was vile. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Just had 2 nights 15/17 April 2022 ,No where to hang your clothes not even a rail, toilet needed to be flushed twice every time it was used.No constant hot water for shower or hand basin had to go down to reception twice to report it.Wont be staying again & wouldn't recommend.

Better off camping

On the first day of arrival, we were greeted with no hot water, which seemed to set the premise for the weekend! the wifi did not work for the first 2 days and with Blackpool have a terrible coverage area, practically left us cut off. Furthermore, the fire alarm went of on multiple occasions within the duration of the trip (one of which being 8:45am. in addition to this, when the hot water was available, this was only before 10am and between 4pm-10pm (which makes no sense).

On the first night, after returning from a local show, i was 'greeted' by a terribly rude security guard who proceeded to speak to me like an infant and clearly had some kind of superiority complex.  This security guard provided me with a plethora of reasons to not return they are as follows:
1) Solicitation of cigarettes 
2) General rude demeanor 
3) witnessed him swearing at other consumers 
4) when the consumers previously mentioned turned around to walk away, he stuck his fingers up at them (in front of other consumers)
5) When checking out i asked him how i could get out as a car was blocking me in, to which he shrugged his shoulders and grunted.

This kind of appalling service will not be forgotten and should not go unmentioned as with this man, in essence being the face of the company, i would recommend finding a new face. 

With that being said, i would hate to make the other staff feel like this review includes them as the 2 ladies on reception could not have been more accommodating and apologetic for the facilities (or lack there of!). 

All in all, considering the price that was paid for the room, the fact that BASIC facilities were not available and the rude security guard, i would tell people looking to go here, don't.

New Oceans 'Hot Hell'

We recently stayed at the New Oceans Hotel.. also known as Skye Oceans Hotel. It was truly THE WORST hotel experience I have ever had.
Not only was it run down and damp, the bedroom windows didn’t lock, the showers don’t run hot and it was just generally very dirty. 
The lowest point of the whole stay was asking a male porter to fill my water bottle up before sleeping, he asked my room number and I stupidly told him.
At 1am, I was awoken by this male porter with another male in tow, banging on the door and telling me to open it, waking me up. 
I am a young woman and was staying in this room alone, so became extremely panicked. When I opened the door, they began accusing me of excessive noise, smoking and making other ludicrous accusations.
They then proceeded to wait at the end of the corridor, blocking the entrance. After this altercation, I re-opened my door to go to sleep in my dads room due to the state of panic I was in. When I re-opened my door, they began aggressively accusing me of multiple other things and shouting at my dad asking who he was.
The whole experience left me in tears, feeling very unsafe. Due to this, we checked out after the first night, only managing to get a couple of hours sleep due to feeling so on edge. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The worst hotel stay I’ve ever had

Stayed here with my hubby 4 year old and my parents on arrivel hotel semed ok lift was out of order has been for months when given our keys we went to our room we have paid for sea view rooms my parents room was tiny a tiny window no curtains had about 3 blind slats up not a lot of space but ok we went to our room aboulslty rotten dirty nappys bin over flowing hair beds striped no curtins had not been vleaned baring in minf was 8pm we got to Blackpool we complained amd was moved rooms 2 a room at the back which was ok we went out and cum bk we cudnt get a shower as the shower disnt work and no was on repection so the next morning o went down we were given a key 2 go use a shower in a diffent room amd was told it wid be fixed by the time we got bk we weny out at 10am dodnt get bk till around 10 30 that evenong we went in bar there was sum entertainment on on tje bar was deunk swaring in front of my 4 year old the bar man didn't have a clue what he was doin was told was hes day off we got sum drinks the lemonade was flat we told him tjos hes words was ooo i no there had no white wine so got sum rose wone echo falls 5 pound in tesco 15 in the bnb we then got the lighys turned off on us as we were still dronkin our drinks as the bar man had said he had been told by manger 2 close woth no warning we went up 2 our room went 2 get a showee still mpt fixed went down again on sunday morning 2 be told no rooms dully booked so we cudnt get a shower so STAY AWAY from using this dump

DO NOT STAY HERE

Myself and my partner visited with his brother at the end of August. We stopped in 2 different rooms and both had a very different experience. 
If you want to contact this B+B, phone the number on their website, this is the only way to get a response from them. I tried contacting them via booking.com, the phone number provided on booking.com, and the email provided, however i got no responses from any of these. 
When booking we specifically booked a b+b with parking however, on arrival we realised that the parking is in 3 rows so there is a high chance of either being blocked in or blocking somebody else in, therefore we decided to find parking elsewhere which was quite difficult. 
When I finally managed to speak to someone prior to our visit about checking in late, we were told that the reception was 24 hours and that it would be fine to check check in at 11pm. However, when we arrived to check in there was a sign on the reception desk stating that the reception was now closed.
We rang the bell and the night porter came to the reception desk, he was very friendly and helpful. He showed us to our rooms and warned us that it would be quite noisy due to it being a Saturday night in Blackpool, which we had been expecting. He also let us know that myself and my partner were stopping in the refurbished part of the hotel but that my partners brother wouldn't be. Upon seeing the room this was quite evident.
Mine and my partners room was a good size and was clean, the shower heated up, which was a nice surprise as we have stopped in many b+b's where this hasn't happened. I am a very light sleeper so was a bit worried about being kept awake by the noise from the promenade but it was nowhere near as noisy as I had been expecting and i was able to get a good night's sleep. However, I was woken up at about 7am Sunday morning by the night porter knocking on someone else's door and shouting through to them to wake them up. 
My partner's brothers room was quite different, his room was directly above the reception so he was kept awake all night by the noise from this. It was also quite obvious that the room had not yet been refurbished.
Overall, we would stay here again as it was good value for money and in a good location for visiting the pleasure beach, however we would request that our room be in the refurbished side of the hotel.

I think the reviews have been tough on this place, I have Not a bad thing to say about this hotel. Parking is limited but if you park at the front of the hotel you do not need to move your car but If you can only manage to get a space at the end of the drive then you MAY be asked to move your car at 10am due to other customers leaving. Luckily I was at the front so I didn’t need to move and when leaving there was no one blocking me so no one had to move their car. 

Average rooms, nice towels, toilet and shower. Decent TV with standard channels. Crap view but we literally just slept there. Blackpool has so much to do that if you spend enough time in the room to notice the uncleanliness then you haven’t done Blackpool properly! 

Absolutely fantastic hotel, lovely staff, I won’t visit Blackpool again but if I ever find myself in Blackpool again I would 1000% stay here again and pay the exact same price.

Highly recommend this hotel. Lift was broke but these things happen.

We booked 4 single rooms all basic rooms bit out dated very thin walls could hear everything from rooms next door reception friendly check in easy lift was broken but was made aware of this b4 confirmed booking parking limited best thing about hotel was location

I booked a one night stay at the skye oceans hotel witch is also the new oceans hotel in blackpool and it turns out the lift has been broken for months the two family rooms i booked were 120 each and not even clean sand, dust and hair from previous guests all over the room and bathroom causing my 17 month old nephew to slip on the sand and hit his head on the wood bit of the bed.
Beautiful view but u can feel every breeze through the closed windows it was freezing i ended up fully dressed in bed just so i could stop dithering long enough to fall asleep but that was not going to happen because they had the matteras on wrong so instead of sleeping on memory fome i slept on metal springs. Wifi does not reach the bedrooms lobby only and it turns out the guy that is runnig it has only refurbished the hanfull of rooms on the side of the hotel so we got stuck in the old part of the building, were there are dips in the carpet an no floorboard underneath in some areas. Then we were supposed to check in at 3 and were told they had staff not turn up so the rooms were not clean yet so fair enough we went away and returned a few hours later aroud 6:30 -7:00 ish and were given keys and they still was not clean and while we were sorting it out with the manager who said hes "trying to keep a professional head" witch he should anyway its his business the ceiling fell through in the dinning area and the pumps in the bar did not work either worst place iv ever stayed and iv camped in a tent next to a field full of sheep will not be going back here again.
