I booked 5 rooms at this hotel for a bit of a family reunion for relatives who haven’t seen each other for a while. Unfortunately part of our party had a family emergency (my mum was dying in hospital) and understandably I requested to cancel part of our booking. I called the hotel who said he had no power in cancelling our booking and it would all need to be done through booking.com. Understandable. I rang booking.com who were very helpful and arranged for part of our booking to be cancelled due to the circumstances, but the hotel had to agree to waiver some of the charges. I again called the hotel, explaining the circumstances and that half of our party was still coming - but he refused to have any compassion or decency and would not agree to the cancellation. I understand the hotel is a business but surely some discretion could have been offered at this sad time. 
I will never book at this hotel again and do not recommend it to anyone - god forbid you have a genuine issue and cannot stay.

Been going Blackpool for years nice  to go to very clean nice smelling bnb  excellent breakfast   Great to get out of shower and walk on nice clean carpets noticed lately a lot of run down dirty bnb in Blackpool and great hosts in perfect location near to everything   would definitely recommend thanks 👍👍😂🍺🍺🍺

We recently stayed at The Carlton with our two-year-old and had an absolutely lovely experience. The owners were both great, very accommodating, and available if needed. The room was fresh and clean, with constant hot water in the shower, and there was plenty of tea and coffee provided. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a good selection available. The location was convenient, and the hotel was very quiet, allowing us to feel well-rested each morning. This was a fantastic stay at a very reasonable price, and we will definitely be looking to book again if we return to Blackpool in the future! Thank you, Carlton!!

Great stay in a great location!! 🤩

This hotel is absolutely spotlessly clean and the rooms are well equipped.
Bed was very comfortable and the roo. Temperature was just right.
Small shower but adequate with powerful shower head and constant hot water.
Plenty of storage space and lots of tea/coffee etc
Would highly recommend for location, cleanliness and comfort 

Would stay again 

Went as a family of 3 a myself, 14 year old daughter and 7 year old daughter staying Friday to Sunday.
We were messaged to say our room was ready early which was lovely but we arrived after check in. We were greeted by Sharon who was lovely, chatted with us and was very friendly. We were advised that due to lack of booking there would not be any breakfast options as the staff had been given the weekend off. Disappointed however easy enough to go to the local weatherspoons to grab something. 
The room was beautifully decorated, cleaned and big enough for us. En suite was small but again clean and met our needs.
The walls are paper thin - you can hear every movement, toilet flush and word spoken. We had a rather loud family beneath us which we heard until after 11pm.
We were staying for a competition being held at the Winter Gardens - what an ideal location! 
Sadly on the Saturday my daughter nipped back to the room for something and as she had not realised the code for the main door was on the key was spoken to in a rude and abrupt manner by the gentleman of the house (which is mentioned in a few reviews). Completely unnecessary, she’s only a child and was quite taken aback! 

On the Sunday check out was 10am, we were out for 0940am. I messaged the mobile that had messaged me to say the room was ready early to see if there was anyway my daughter could use the facilities (just a bathroom) to get dressed for her show at  12.30pm. I received an abrupt response advising that all rooms would be getting cleaned at this point. Hard to believe unless they have a team of 15 going in all at the same time! But it’s not a given that they would accommodate this after we left, would just have been nice! 

The hosts are there minimally and we didn’t find them easily accessible if something was needed but this may just be how they work. We haven’t experienced this in other family run b n bs.

Overall a lovely little b n b if you aren’t sensitive to noise and are looking for somewhere close to the winter gardens/main attractions. And possibly don’t mind if breakfast is cancelled even when the b n b is full.

Sadly we wouldn’t stay again given there are so many options nearby for similar prices.

Cheap, clean and close to main attractions

We a group of 25 had a sit down meal in the restaurant. The food was pre-ordered. The service was reasonable although some of the younger staff still seemed to be in training, making small errors such as not opening the wine bottle and reaching across the table to serve. That said the meal was excellent, hot and well prepared. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed their choices and the portions were correct.

Some small service issues that didn't detract from enjoyment of the meal.

Clean,Welcoming,Central and Friendly… Everything you want from a stay in Blackpool . Rooms were clean and smelt fresh the shower and bathroom clean and fresh .The entrance and lounge area was also clean and modern. Sharon met us on say of checking in and welcomed us like she had know us for years . We didn’t have breakfast this time but spoke with a few guests who could confirm that I was also  beautiful. I will be returning again soon .

Just got home from a great 2 night stay at the Carlton . It’s lovely and clean with a nice homely feel ! 
Sharon the owner is extremely friendly and very welcoming.
Breakfast was great too . My youngest daughter has multiple food allergies and Sharon made sure she was catered for too .

Great stay

Absolutely brilliant hotel.  We stayed for the Rebellion Festival - our 3rd stay now, and we've already booked this hotel again for next year.  Can't recommend it highly enough.  So clean, lovely rooms, delicious breakfast and the perfect location for the Winter Gardens.  Such a friendly place and I can't wait for our next visit next August.  

Brilliant!

Me and my daughter stayed here for one night for a gig in Blackpool. The lovely lady host greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our room. Our room was perfectly fine for the two of us small but just what we expected. It’s very clean ans tidy. Lovely decor and very close to the main attractions in Blackpool. One minute from the beach and the tower. Two mins from the winter gardens so ideal for us. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Only bad point was how thin the walls are. Me and my daughter could hear everything the “next door neighbours” were doing. It felt like I had another couple in my room, they had no consideration for others at 1am 2am and even 5am when I heard them again. I know they had a “good night” and a takeaway and so on. I could hear the man snore for hours… it’s really bad and I wouldn’t come again for that reason.  Everything else is lovely for a Blackpool hotel but if they can just do some sound proofing somehow it would get 5* i know it was just poor luck having a noisy neighbour to spoil the night stayed but it’s worth noting the walls are very thin.
