Lovely weekend in Blackpool. We stayed 2 nights, easy to find, lovely welcome from Keith on arrival, and he kindly gave us his parking space at the front door. 

The hotel is lovely and welcoming, very homely. We had a family room with a double and single bed. The beds were really comfortable. The bedding smelled amazing. The room was fresh and clean.  Sheila made us lovely breakfast in the mornings and the food was plentiful. 

The hotel itself is right next to the south pier and pleasure beach as well as all the attractions Blackpool has to offer. It’s a great location and also quiet at night time as it’s not right on the front. 

We will definitely be booking again next time we come to Blackpool. Thank you Keith and Sheila for your wonderful hospitality.

Great hospitality

Absolutely wonderful hosts, and loved the landladies dry humour!
It was nice and clean and we'll decorated, I loved the black marble effect walls in the bathroom with the glitter effect. 10/10. Would stay again, Keith even let me park in his spot so I could do a bit of shopping after our time was up, it was only a couple of hours but he really went the extra mile. Bless them ♥ 

Awesome, he Bent over backwards to help me with parking too! Lovely hosts! 

Stayed for one night. Great hotel comfy beds and really clean.Had a great nights sleep. Easy check in. Even helped us with parking. Hosts really down to earth and welcoming. Breakfast included which was lovely. You will not find a better deal in blackpool. Proper value for money

Well worth the money

Stayed with friends at new year, lovely and cozy, free parking at the front and round the back. very clean, great little bar, mine host is Keith. Handily placed, not fat to walk from most attractions.  Lovely and warm in the room we stayed in, and a cracking breakfast next morn.

we booked through hotels.com, all paid for and confirmed ,turned up at this property on Saturday 17th dec 2022 4.30 pm  , property in darknesss,no answer pn the b n b phone ,on the door or email, we came back at 8pm again no answer on the door - stranded In Blackpool 8pm Saturday night freezing raining and a toddler in tow.had to rebook at local travel lodge at big cost, went back to this hotel the next day for refund , again no answer on phone or door - booking.com have tried to contact hotel no answer ! no refund or answer from hotel or booking.com as of yet. beware booking through a 3rd party or this hotel! no one offering an answer or refund as of yet !

The hotel is just a 2 minute walk from the south pier so the location is great, or a 10 minute walk to the bars such as The Manchester or Reflex.

Keith And Sheila were very friendly and made us very welcome. Keith was most helpful with information of where the best nightlife was for what we wanted and good eateries. 

Thank you for the lovely breakfast Sheila, and for buying in vegetarian sausages for my vegetarian partner specially for us coming, this was much appreciated. 

If you are wanting a hotel at a good rate, friendly banter, and a nice breakfast the next morning - this is the place to book.

Friendly, cheap and good location

Run down place.
Dingy entrance and bedroom decor awful. Could do with updating. Parked the car at the back, asked the owner if car would be safe and he said, If anyone's going to break in they'll break in!
Breakfast next morning was disgusting, cheap sausage, beans, bacon full of gristle and no tomato until asked for. No bar open at night. Fancied a drink but the bar was in darkness, and laundry piled on top of the pool table.
Save your money, there are better value guest houses nearby.

What can i say about the somerville hotel ? Well let me start with the owners , one word FANTASTIC keith and shelia are so welcoming ! We walked in to the hotel to be met by keith and it felt like i had known him for years the place smelled lovely and fresh and was obviously very clean . He shown us to our room which was just perfect room 3 had everything we needed . The bed was lovely and comfy and the bedding was fresh and clean . The next morning when we woke the heating  was on amd the place was lovely and warm we had breakfast and keith had remembered from our conversation the day before that after a night on the beer i could eat double helpings of breakfast and so he had served me up a massive breakfast . Keith and sheila are the perfect team and nothing is to much effort . We have been staying in blackpool for years and hardly ever go back to the same hotel but this time its different we will definitely be back

What an absolute gem of a place, the owners Keith and Sheila were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble to them, very attentive, the breakfast was amazing,  the place looks and smells gorgeous, proper home from home, it's spotless. 

Will absolutely be staying there again, what a lovely place, with lovely people, well done guys.

Very clean and tidy. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast.  Very friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome. Will definitely go back. Located close to South pier and pleasure Beach. Approximately 30 minute walk to Tower or short distance on tram.
