Our little weekend stay in Blackpool at the Alviston was nothing but pleasant, very polite owners Kathy and Colin, always saying hello and greetings when you came in and out. We would definitely stay again. Close to the prom, beach and everything we needed. Thankyou guys -Jessica and Lewis.

Lovely little stay

Very happy arrived in blackpool earlier than expected and I contacted Colin and he allowed us to book in early 🙂
We were on the top floor room 28 but not a issue as hotel had lift
Room was a good size for 2 adults and 2 small children
Bathroom a little small but done the job with good shower
Room nice and warm with little noise
Good location good value for money will be booking next year and looking forward to the overall

Absolutely brilliant stay at the hotel not the ritz but for 30 pound a night clean bedding towels kath and Julie to lovely ladies went over and beyond to help us there was nine of us like I said well worth the money thank you for making our stay very good

We stayed at the alverston bed and breakfast hotel. What can I say? Cathy and Colin , are the nicest people you could ever meet and will go above and beyond to help you. Dave the owner was polite, kind and helpful, the rooms are clean and basic , but in need of a refurb, but for us it was a bed and a place to shower, as we were out for most of the day.  Also the other thing it could have done with was a fan, as the room we were in was small and stuffy, the bed was clean and comfortable, but although the shower was clean but out dated, but the room and bathroom floor could do with a  good bloody clean.  As for rating it. I would give Cathy and Colin,*.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our room,⭐⭐ and cleanliness ⭐⭐ but the big question is, would we come and stay here again? If it had a big refurb, and was brought up to modern standards, yes, but as it is now, definitely not.  Sorry Cathy, Colin and Dave nothing against you personally. Val longstaff

Blackpool rocks

Stayed here on the 6th to 9th Aug, this Hotel is in a great location, not far from all the attractions, the people who run the Hotel are very friendly too.
We got a parking space at this Hotel for £5 a day which is cheap and helpful for Blackpool!.
Generally we enjoyed our stay here, it would have been even better if they had opened their Bar, but due to covid probably it was closed.
Faults?... none really, could do with a lick of paint here and there, but what seaside hotel doesn't.

Great friendly hotel !

Absolute dive this place, avoid at ALL costs. The whole place stinks of smoke, as the owner smokes downstairs in reception, and this travels right throughout the building, it absolutely reeks of smoke at all times. Also, this hotel is so run down that we would NEVER return there. I only wish I checked reviews before as no way would I have gone there. Also, there is only 6 parking spaces, so considering the hotel can hold 65+ guests, you have literally no chance of getting a space, and all the other car parks were full also. Nightmare situation. I would never, ever recommend this dive to anybody, and if you are researching this hotel and reading this, then do yourself a serious favour and book elsewhere!

Avoid at ALL Costs - Stinks - No Parking - Very Noisy.

This is just so run down, last decorated mid 80s at best. Owner walls around smoking and our room stank of stale smoke. 

The room.. It came complete with a matching derelict looking ceiling from a 90s office and a TV so small and weirdly placed it was pointless.

The bathroom was not clean and was so small it was impossible to use the shower, it was hard enough to use the loo! 

Biggest negative by far was that in the bar area people were smoking and vaping, disgusting.

Good point, the lift worked...

Not family friendly at all, you would need to be extremely drunk for this to have seemed even remotely nice.

Cheap, but even at the price we paid I feel hard done by (and I've stayed in some dour places before) 

Welcome back to 1985

We had a family room which was perfect for us as we are up and about all day so use it just to shower and sleep. 
The lady who runs it is so lovely and very friendly
Her husband on the other hand is an acquired taste. He found out we own a bmw and didnt hold back on what he thought. The word t**t was used.
He let their team work down.



Nice hotel

The staff are nice but the room is way to basic. Old needs updated looks nice from the outside but inside is totally different room was lacking common need for example bowls or basic crockery. wouldn’t recommend.
