This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever been in. 
Arrived at Maryport Marras checked in the scruffy reception then was told to go the hotel next door, Adam & Eve. 
Walked into the stairway to be greeted with rubbish at the bottom of the stairs.  The smell was unbearable throughout the hotel. Navigated to our room after hopping over some mucky underwear on the stairs. 
Opened the bedroom door (bedroom door only opened half way due to the bed being in the way) filth all over the floor, must of been many visits since its last hoover. The was a smell of cigarettes all over the room, the bed sheets and pillows stank of it. 
We thought we would try and sleep but it was so uncomfortable and smelly we decided to leave at 11pm and make the three hour journey back home.

We didn't expect much for what we paid, but there must be some standards of cleanliness

Stay away from this and Maryport Marras 

Arrived to a grumpy rude owner and was given code and key for room. Walked in to this cupboard room with bunk beds room was tiny could not even get dressed in there. Stained sheets bedding had poo on it. Moult and mattress looked 100 years old . Cum stained carpet complained and owner said he assured me bedding is clean so it started a argument. Bathroom had no lock on door used shower and whole bathroom flooded no loo rolls and saw a mouse on window seal( that mouse was brave) a couple of fights broke out in the night due to noise. This place needs knocking down such a health and Safety hotel

This place is so dated that David Dickinson would spaff his load over the antique excuse of a bed of which is hanging on for dear life in the hope it lasts another night, furthermore even Mrs Hinch and her Co OCD followers couldn't get this pace spic and span even if given 12 months and an unlimited supply of zaflora.

TIPS:
if you do for some reason decide to book this place I'd strongly recommend you keep your footware on at all times, even in the shower, you take your own bedding (including inflatable bed) and you disinfect before returning home.

Overall, Good location but terrible accommodation, welcome to Blackpool

Me and partner arrived at this place . And we immediately walked back out . Cupboard sized rooms broken revealed wiring . A health and safety risk looks like a crack den good if your interested in that. But owner was polite just not for us

Have been debating how to review this hotel so here goes.
I believe the owner runs a few small hotels and some are better then others. 
I guess the price can reflect that.
Me and friend booked a room for 1 night as our hotel had no spare capacity for dates needed. We wanted something cheap as possible within reason.
Upon arrival according to our print out checkin was 12 noon however they stated checkin was 1400. However at 1300 they said room was not ready so we left and we came back after they txt me to inform me that the room is ready. 
This was aprox 1500hrs.
We went in and upon entering we were impressed by how dirty the floors were what a beautiful state the lobby was. Nice and grubby and dirty.
A long narrow stair case to the 2nd floor we went up then found our rooms and went in.
As describe small room for 1 person. Including a sink.
However no curtains were provided but who needs curtains anyway. 
Nice that people can stare in from across the road anyway.
Luckily my friend had curtains tho his tap sink wasn't working. 
My bed was more comfortable with a small bounce. 
Looked like they put on new bed sheets so least they were clean.
My friends bed was a big springy but it was ok as he prefers to be uncomfortable in a bed when he sleeps.
My door was shuttable and lockable. 
My floor was nice and dirty.
Take your own toilet roll as when staff put some out people tend to steal it.
No towels or soap provided. No tea/coffee provided. Pure basic.
Theres 2 toilets and 2 showers however only 1 was working. 
But its great to share with maybe upto 15 ish people in a hotel.
For safety reasons I felt cleaner by not showering.
There was no TV in my or my friends room tho there was free wifi.
If your disabled; stay downstairs rooms. Tho you may not have your own bathroom.
The atmosphere was nice and friendly from other hotel guests who all appeared to be party people wanting a cheap room like us.
The point is you gotta do this once in your life stay in a bad hotel room. 
Lets look at what it gives you.
Your own private room. Sink. Bed. Somewhere to store your gear.
Tho the price is low. Its just a basic place to stay.
Yes you get what you pay for.
Staff were friendly and warm and welcoming.
I have been informed there having a massive refurbishment of this hotel and that they are closing it down to do this.
So maybe in the future this hotel maybe a decent place to stay.
Based upon that I could possibly entertain staying here again!

There was no spunk and minimal bloodstains; this was the main selling point so we were very disappointed. The rooms were not totally dilapidated, although it really wouldn’t hurt to send a cleaner round. Was the worst hotel I’ve been to, but also the cheapest.

Did not meet expectations 

I have never in my life stayed in such a filthy,rundown,Dirty hole.
Booked for a girls weekend and although it was very cheap ..I feel we should have been paid to stay there.
We had a ground floor room which had 3 single beds ( hmp beds are probably better) & 2 sets of bunks. My single bed well the matress was to big so everytime moved I fell out the bed.The carpets were stinking and damp, beds were vile hair and stains in them. There is 2 toilets which are shared ..OMG 1 had leaked urine all over the floor & the other had smears of crap all over the walls.I did not use the showers incase i caught something so felt diagusting all weekend.DO NOT STAY. I am suprised it has not been closed down. This hotel trades under 3 different names. The hangover hotel, singletons & adam & eve. 
The only plus side was the guy who managed it he was friendly and helpful
