No plugs in the bathroom sinks, we ordered breakfast on booking, they didn't serve it. We asked for some more teabags and milk, they only left 4 of each for 2 two days for two of us. They wanted £2.50 or £5 for more as they don't top up for free.   B&M, £1 for 100 teabags, 49p for 10 uht milk cartons.  Double rooms, one cup for tea or coffee. Now has new owners, been a few times we won't be back. Room photos are misleading. Also they set up rooms for one person in each arriving days later, but didn't set up for two for us. We were guests at least 4 times before our last visit, charging for tea bags and milk was enough to put us off going back.

Oh dear....

What a great place could not fault the stay very welcoming clean and comfortable beds hot shower and a big breakfast. Fantastic 5/5  will definitely book again next time I go Blackpool and it’s not too far from the beach and the pub ls around are family friendly

Could not do enough for you

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!We go away a lot, we did our usually checks on google before booking, the photos on google that come up for Hotel Vienna Blackpool are certainly not the rooms in this hotel, the reality is that it is a Dirty, smelly hotel with stained bedding and towels, walls damp paper peeling off the walls, shower so dirty that we didn’t use it, NO HOT WATER ALL WEEKEND! No sign of the manager all weekend so no one to complain to, please feel free to have a look at a few of the photos we took and added below, and I have many more besides these, I haven’t put captions on the photos because I think they are self explanatory.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Stayed here over the recent bank holiday weekend. Was greeted by Trevor who was warm friendly and welcoming. 
Our room was a well appointed twin room with 2 double beds which was a nice bonus. 
Breakfast was fresh and cooked to order for an additional £5.
Had a lovely stay and plan to return to hotel Vienna on next visit to Blackpool
Keep up the great work!

A rare find with a great host

Checked in, then checked out an hr later, didn't even want to take my shoes off. Luckily rang booking.com and they arranged a refund. Had to drive around for somewhere else to stay last minute so the whole weekend wasn't wasted. Found out you can get a lot cleaner for the same price elsewhere, so definitely shop around.

Cheap should not mean dirty

I recently stayed at your property but was extremely disappointed with regard to the way things had be handled. 

I had arrived late on Thursday evening on my own and I told the owner that I was arriving at a specific time and it was agreed I could get in. No one was in, no one answered, no bell to rings, the phone was switched off, I was waiting in the cold and dark for almost an hour. I then had to go to Mardi Gras hotel to check in there who put me up a nice room, what if they had closed where would I have gone? but I did have to pay extra for This. 

I then got a message the next day. When I arrived the guy was not very apologetic but quite jittery and nervous that a mistake had clearly been made from your part. He just showed me to room but just said here is your room and that was it, he ran away. My booking stated 3 nights not 2. All I was given was an upgraded room and no refund for my first night. I didn’t argue I was exhausted by working all day, which I had to do from a loud cafe/bar because I did not have a room to privately take calls for my job, I also wanted to check if the room was to standard. 

It was damp on the walls, shower was going hot and cold every 2 mins and towels had stains over them. The room was also freezing cold. My friend who was in the single room which I probably would have had anyway was warm and much nicer. 

I think that this is appalling and I have contacted booking.com about this Unless a refund for my first night is provided I am seriously considering taking this further because even other venues thought this was not acceptable 

And your response to me was extremely rude…

you booked two nights,but arrived the night before,at midnight,you stayed the two nights you had booked and thats what you paid for.
we upgraded you to a double room  ensuite and included breakfast free of charge,
NOT ONCE DID YOU BRING ANYTHING TO OUR ATTENTION,SO WE COULD HAVE SORTED IT,but instead went to your friends room to vent,which you admitted,but not once approached the people who could sort any issues you had

Showed them my booking reference…

This is my booking reference and the dates in which I should have been staying. In previous conversations we had discussed my arrival time and date and had responded. I was NOT offered a free breakfast as the guy who checked me in did not confirm this and there was no paperwork to confirm what I had. 

I was giving your accommodation the benefit of the doubt by staying in my upgraded room to see if it would be worth it but there was no one to speak with on my exit because of my disappointment. 

This is appalling the way your have reacted to this. I shall be taking this further.

Scottish mother and disabled daughter .  Travelling to see illuminations and world fireworks exhibition .  Booked with proof of payments via Bookimg.com.  David (owner ) sent cancellation text when 1 hour from arrival.  Very unpleasant experience

Glad i didnt have to stay

This is our third visit to this hotel there’s nothing to much trouble from Trevor and David they really put them selves out very clean and children friendly lovely breakfast if you want it at a very reasonable price definitely will only come here in future again and again

Holiday

Arrived Friday 12th August,  was in actual shock when shown our room, we are no snobs but this wasn't what we expected, heavily stained ceiling, smelt of stale smoke, the bathroom door had a chunk out of it so it could get past the sink!  The window opener was broken so I had to climb on to the windowsill to push open the window. We didn't even unpack as we didn't want to put our clothes in the drawers or wardrobe. The whole place is dated and grubby with sticky carpets. After a lot of deliberation and after trying to book a room else where we decided to stay the night, the bed linen was clean. The morning after  my husband tried the shower, the water didn't come out of the head just the joint where the head meets the hose, at this point we decided we were not staying for our second night, we packed up and left. We feel this totally spoilt our weekend  as we were there for the air show, and were looking forward to the break, sadly not to our liking, if you want cheap as chips it's fine if not book elsewhere.

Just so disappointed

Just back from 4 nights staying here for Rebellion festival long weekend.
The positives - friendly owner, great location and parking nearby, clean bedding and bathroom and lovely hot shower.
I stayed in room 15 which looked ok on arrival - however I couldn't open or close the window - found out only by climbing onto window sill as opening so high up to find the handle detached from window. 
My bathroom had no handle on outside of door and the one inside was hanging off so I didn't dare close it for fear of getting trapped inside.
One of the clean towels had a worrying brown mark across it so was put to one side. On my final morning one of the tiles just randomly fell off the wall and hit my foot. The other tiles looked to be barely hanging on.
My sister stayed in room 7 and it was much shabbier and not particularly clean.
The carpets everywhere are very sticky and need a good clean and the hallway and landings have a permanent odour of fried food.
I read many positive reviews before booking and was a little disappointed with overall stay. We didn't complain as spent very little time in hotel and didn't want to sound moany about small things as when we first arrived there was no electricity due to leaking roof so the owner seemed to have enough on his plate.
It's not the worst place we have stayed in by far - but a lot of the small things require little effort to fix. The whole hotel feels like it needs a refresh and if it got this I would definitely stay again.
