The rooms were filthy. Hot tap in bathroom didn't work. Marks on the bedding and towels. Holes in the walls, doors and ceiling. Carpet thread bare in places. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Due to the sheer volume of people in blackpool due to the northern soul events and the illuminations we were unable to find anywhere else in blackpool to stay otherwise we wouldn't of stayed at this "hotel" The pictures on here do not reflect the hotel at all.

Never again!

It wasn’t what it looked like when booking.the room was very small and there was groove damp smell we had no tv for the 2 night. Member a staff said going to sort out refund but no one was at the property when we left. We just left the keys in room as no information about checking out.very disappointed

Absolutely devastating

Absolute hell hole.Do not book this place as it’s a scam ( as stated in previous reviews) we were dismayed at the state of the building on arrival and is absolutely nothing like the pictures. After finally getting someone to answer the door was met by a very aggressive and threatening Eastern European and his partner.Both were intimidating and when I asked to view room was told ‘ that’s why we hate people like you coming here (English!) ‘. A verbal altercation followed which caused me to leave the premises. The hotel is filthy and smelt of stale urine
It states when booking you pay on arrival however they took money 3 days prior to arriving and we still are unable to get a refund. We had to book into an alternate hotel which was lucky as Blackpool was fully booked due to the Rebellion weekend.
Please do not allow these people to scam you out of taking your money. A man in flat opposite shouted don’t bother going in it’s a scam! 
We will continue to fight to get our money back but just want to ensure no one has their holiday spoilt like ours could have been .
Absolute dump… Also have reported to Blackpool council so hopefully will not be allowed to continue trading

Hell hole and a scam DO NOT BOOK

My son and I had an extremely pleasant experience at the Adren hotel!! 
The family that run the Arden’ were very welcoming and happy to accommodate any of our requests and queries. Yes the room was quite small but, perfectly clean and a fantastic wee em suite with a great shower. 
It was perfect for us!! 
And we will definitely be returning there again

Worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. Advertised as 2 bedroom apartment . Was 2 small rooms with adjoining door. Smelly and dirty, total lack of facilities. Tv broken .Broken blinds in one room, no blinds in other . Curtains frayed and kept falling down. Holes in wall, bare light bulbs no shades. Electric socket away from wall, smoke alarm hanging off ceiling. Floor peeling up, wallpaper peeling off in corridor, sky light falling apart. Felt unsafe having children stay there, fighting and police outside. All of us were bitten . Pictures on website are totally out of date and misleading

I arrived at 16:45 to the hotel. The entrance to the hotel was locked. We stood outside for 10 minutes and then a man over the road shouted to us to knock on the window. We knocked on the window and a 90 year old man answered the door and went back inside. We waited and then a Hungarian/Bulgarian who said his name was Jealous (don't think that's true). He asked for my name checked his phone and went upstairs which I only assume was to get the key. He comes back down and said someone else is in our room and it's a scam as they used my name! I advised that this needs to be resolved and he said he has no more rooms and there is nothing he could do. I've just drove 90 miles in this heat, took half a day from my work unpaid and paid £17.10 for 48 hours parking at the nearest carpark (Hornby Road). I looked if there was any alternative hotels on Booking.com and the cheapest one was £300 and I wasn't prepared to pay this for 2 nights in Blackpool so without accommodation drove back the 90 miles. I've also recently (10th) had an operation on my leg and this has not helped me at all from this driving and I'm now in excruciating pain. I transferred the money from the account incase the hotel tried to take it and they did and now it says on the booking "Cancelled due to invalid credit card" this is complete lies. And even after all this they tried to take the £124! For what when I didn't have a room.  In addition to that the manager 'Jeslous' said he attempted to call me prior to my arrival which he didn't but rang me 6 times at 18:00 advising they had resolved the issue and for us to come back, I was an hour into the drive back and was not going back.  I have evidence of these messages. I'm absolutely furious as I also prebooked bottomless brunch for tomorrow which cannot be refunded either so all in all this error from the hotel has cost me £40 Petrol, £17.10 Parking, £38 for 1/2 days pay, 7 hours driving round trip  £59.90 for bottomless brunch. The hotel itself stinks, the floor at the entrance is sinking and a hazard and judging by the other reviews the rooms were terrible so it's a lucky escape on all accounts. Recieved a message from 'Jealous' saying he's sure I make mistakes in my work and I'm a mean person too! For what? There is making mistakes and blatant lies! Being miffed for arriving to no room. I didn't even shout at him we just left!

Ardern or ArDEAR!

Booked to stay here recently but couldn't go due to covid, we thought we were doing the right thing by getting in touch with Booking.Com to say we can't go, we didn't want to pass on the virus to other people staying, Booking.Com were really understanding and said they will get in touch with this hotel for a refund, The hotel said they won't refund us and will charge the £80 booking fee, they were supposed to take it after a few days but took it within the hour! I think that's unfair,won't stay here in future, thought we were doing the right thing but obviously not.

Not good

I had booked and paid for this hotel on booking.com before checking the reviews - bad move. The reviews really put a downer on the excitement of getting away for a few days!! When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised, no smell of urine.. or it’s been masked by the very strong plug In air freshener at the entrance. Rooms were very small, not like the pictures but clean and had everything you needed. The man who welcomed us wasn’t very welcoming, he gave us our room key, wifi password and left us too it which suited us & will suit anyone who just wants to do their own thing and isn’t too fussed about hospitality. 

This hotel is cheap and I wouldn’t say cheerful but, clean! Perfect for a short break but if you have very high standards probably not for you

Pleasantly surprised

What an absolute Disgrace of a place avoid at all costs.This place smells so bad of urine I wouldn't even put my worst enemy here.Rooms really small,dirty and falling apart there was a Young male letting people to rooms he was very intimidating when we stated rooms weren't as described frightened the life out of us.Please please avoid at all costs and look elsewhere.Surprised they are still allowed to open.

Absolute Disgrace Avoid

Arrived and was met by a guy who gave us our key we went to the room which was just enough to fit a double bed in no where to sit just the bed - the door didnt lock properly, the room smelt of drains, the stairway smelt of urine, at some point in the day the power to the sockets tripped i went to find someone after a few minuets i found a lady who turned the sockets back on and said they trip when someone uses the iron, but what was worse was the extension lead plugged in and run under the bedding to the side of the bed  the bed had seen better days - i have to say it was one of the worst stays ive had in Blackpool - no bar no breakfast and a very smelly place  - i wonder why there was a stack of storage heater blocks on the landing ?
