This is a great hotel. We have been staying here for years and even got married here.
We love the staff here they are always friendly and helpful. We have made great friends staying in this hotel. Its a stones throw to the sea front and all the attractions.
They do great breakfasts and diners. The rooms are clean and tidy and very comfortable. Highly recomend staying here.

Great place to stay

Have been to the Shellard on numerous occasions as its great for my mum who is in a wheelchair. Also, with 4 kids, it's difficult to find a room big enough for us all but Ann always manages to fit us all in and make us feel at home. The kids are always asking to go back down to visit which we are in August this year for the Air Show. 

Fantastic service and always made to feel welcome which is a massive bonus for us.

Very Homely and Great Service

Absolutely disgusting, room had not been cleaned,funny smell on bedding so I. Had a look on the pillows they were brown very badly stained, cobwebs under dressing table. At breakfast you had to go up and queue, I went to sit at a table where other guest's were sitting then I was asked to go and sit at a table with no table cloth on it was dirty I asked for it to be cleaned. No cutlery or or butter, I went to get some jam it was in a opened jar with butter on it!!! I think at that time health and safety would have closed it down. Never ever again. Only reason why I stayed there was know where else to go to.

Managers a whopper!  No bar, no food as advertised rooms are terrible no breakfast from a b&b even though it said breakfast on my booking confirmation but wouldnt refund anything or even apologise. Sets the fire alarm off at 9:30 banging on doors get up even tho checkouts not till 10:30. Can't stress enough DO NOT STAY THERE!!!! 

Dump 

hotel now known as bukari hotel , room was not clean, dust on skirting's & pipes , bins still full from previous visitors . paint splashes on carpets . tv mounted on wall but unable to watch due to post & drapes on bed being right in front of it . bar & restaurant advertised but not open . bed was the most lumpy unconvertible we had ever tried to sleep in & the noise from the rooms including ours was constant due to very loose queeky  floor boards . definitely not worth £45 a night room only . we will never return here even if the price was havled .
