I have rated this hotel a 3 out of 5 primarily due to the unprofessional demeanor exhibited by some staff members, which gives the impression that they are disinterested in their roles. Additionally, the hotel offers a limited number of dining options, and the food service in the main bar concludes rather early. Furthermore, I encountered issues with all the vending machines, as they were inoperative. Consequently, my overall experience can be characterized as merely average. On a positive note, the swimming pool was commendable, the gym is adequately sized, and there is a squash court that provides an enjoyable recreational activity. Therefore, I believe a rating of 3 out of 5 is justified.

On arrival the hotel looked is beautiful surroundings, staff were friendly however we were very disappointed with our room, it smelt of damp, the shower was overflowing water from bathroom into carpeted area and the carpet smelt of damp too.

The pillows were uncomfortable and no foam in them -  all in all a terrible nights sleep and couldn’t wait to leave in the morning.

Golf break, golf wise no regrets.Course in great condition. Pro shop really helpful.but buggy’s bit pricy at £35
Hotel, what can I say, not a lot. Rooms cleaned but beds never made. Cold shower in afternoon.
Food. Staff great but food absolutely rubbish. Chicken curry, would be ashamed to even call it that, absolutely tasteless. 
Drinks as you would expect a total rip off. Never got charged same for the same round even with a discount. Don’t get a large glass of wine because it doesn’t matter what you order, you still get the same amount, apart from the price.
Reception really helpful 
If you want a taxi into town, get an uber as it’s far cheaper.

Never again

Stayed for two nights. Room was ok but had to ask for our room to be serviced on day 2 (supplied with fresh towels and bins emptied, no beds made or tea making facilities replenished/cleaned). 
Kept awake the first night by ‘music’ from a party/event downstairs until well after midnight.  
Having made reservations for both nights for our evening meal nobody knew anything about our booking on the first night. We were accommodated though.  
The bar/grill pub was very busy and extremely noisy, we were unable to hold a conversation.  We asked for hot drinks and told that the machine wasn’t working. The coffee bar was closed by this time so had no choice but to buy cold soft drinks.   Felt that meals were a tad overpriced and rather small on portion sizes. 
Breakfasts on both days were buffet style, but we found that tables weren’t cleared soon enough and food not replenished often enough thus reducing choices.  Also rubbish bin for empty cereal packets was overflowing.  
I did use the swimming pool during the stay and thought this was clean and very much how I’d expected it to be. 
I had hoped for a nice relaxing stay at this hotel but found it too loud with nowhere to go and sit/relax over drinks and a chat

Weekend stay not as anticipated

Played Heron's Reach in 2022 so it must have been acceptable, because a return trip over the last few days was agreed and paid for well in advance. 
Arrival at the course was great, Club Pro, very helpful, welcoming and informative. Coffee and bacon baps, acceptable .... but the food had been laid out on a cold table for some time?
Then the golf ?????
The grass on the fairways in many areas, was extremely long and where it had been mowed, the grass was lying allover making finding your ball, at times, extremely difficult.
Don't talk about the bunkers! Thankfully, I didn't land in one
The greens were poor, in condition, state of repair and length of grass.
Awful to put on.
Food at lunch, was pathetic. 2 or 3 dry sandwiches and chips which had been through the fryer at least twice, to re-heat.  Not sure, but I think we paid £12.00 for this delight.
The 19th hole, was every bit what I expected. Raucous, loud and lively, ..... but not quite what you want, on the 18th, standing over a 4 foot putt to win the match. ..... I missed!
ALL IN ALL - sorry Mr De Vere, you won't see me or my Society here again.

Poor

The room was ok, the evening meal was beautiful and tasted amazing, only thing that let it down was the breakfast the next morning when there was no clean plates or cutlery, the breakfast area was a mess, and all the tables around the area, no food left, warm orange juice, warm milk for the cereal. Every customer that was near me was complaining. Nothing labelled and had to chase staff to get said plates and cutlery. 

Was a ok stay

The hotel was brilliant the beds and pillows after a full day at a wedding was heaven.  Easy to check in the parking was free.  Even though notices state otherwise. If you need a taxi they arrive within minutes.  We only stayed one night but we definitely will be returning for a full weekend stay to enjoy the facilities. The shower was great the room wonderfully clean.  Only one thing could a couple of biscuits be added to the tea tray love a biscuit with a brew at night but seriously a very good hotel.

Excellent hotel ,very good amenities ,pool gym ,sauna etc .Breakfast very good and in excellent location.Beds very comfortable and rooms nice and spacious .Have been numerous times and would definitely be returning again.

Lovely drive up to the hotel, from a distance the outside looking in is amazing. Once in the main reception it looks good, but when checked in & settled you start to notice things. Firstly the room after we checked in, the carpet wasn’t hoovered & a nectarine stone lying beside the waste bin. Bed linen was clean to be fair & the bathroom was clean. I would not say it was an all round filthy but certainly the carpet hadn’t been hoovered. Mistakes happen with the likes of the nectarine stone but come on, run a hoover over the carpet. We stayed 3 nights & not once was a hoover in that room & please nobody try & tell us otherwise. Secondly the heat in the room!!!!! Oh my goodness that was serious, I don’t know if the hotel runs a biomass boiler or what but we hardly slept a wink the 3 nights we were there as we had to have a noisy fan going the whole night & the window wide open. Totally uncomfortable!! Breakfast was your typical buffet breakfast, couldn’t really complain about it but yet again nothing really to rave about. As for the tables & cutlery, I don’t know if the hotel is being ran understaffed or under bad management but some of the tables were filthy & witnessed a few just getting a spray & a quick wipe & crumbs & bean juice still left behind. Also the cutlery had to be checked before using it for bits. For the prices being charged & meant to be a bit more upmarket it’s disappointing. Pool area & gym were pretty impressive. The gym we can’t comment on but the pool & the pool area etc were 1st class. I just see a hotel that has at one time had great potential & either through management/ownership has gone downhill & is going to continue to do so. Give yourselves a shake & tidy things up it’s totally unacceptable.

Self check in and out good. 
Rooms in need of a good clean and updating. Bathroom tiny. Bed was quite comfy and the room was relatively quiet despite being busy. 
My sister booked a accessible room as my brother in law is disabled - it had a bath with a shower over it! He couldn't use it. The bathroom door had a handle but no closing mechanism so they couldn't even close it; the TV wasn't working, they 'fixed' it so she had TWO channels; the blind didn't work so they brought a blackout sheet and hung it up!!
Breakfast was poor. Not good quality and cold.
Would not stay here again.
